That, or they really like money.
I call Money.

Tim Burton was not the problem with Batman, as far as I'm concerned. The problem was Michael Keaton. Not a fan.
I have to disagree, again. I love Michael Keaton's Batman.
-
I say the hell with batman 89 and BRING ON THE DARK KNIGHT!!! why live in the past when the present so much better lol
I disagree. I love Tim Burton's Batman.

This isn't really a New Frontier VS. Gotham Knight competition, so that should settle it.
I loved the animation of Deadshot, but I felt it was too short. Since producers touted him as the "anti-Bruce Wayne", they could have done a lot to exploit that side of his character. His pleading to Batman at the end of the one-shot felt uncharacteristic. "Crossfire" had that "Oooh, it's BATMAN" moment, which was great, but the rest was a little wordy. The rest is not memorable for me to review.
I agree with Malpractice. "Working Through Pain" was the most engaging and poetic/reflective episode of Bruce. It said a lot without saying too much. The image of Batman holding all those guns in the sewer is what stayed with me from this DVD.
As for the extras, the commentary was standard, and the Bob Kane story was great.
What I was disappointed with was the 4 episodes they chose from BTAS. The only one I would have kept was Heart of Ice. "I am the Night" does flow along the lines of Bale's existentialistic outlook in Begans and The Dark Knight, but it doesn't change how much I absolutely despise that episode for its (nod to Mike and James) "Hot Topic" reasons. Since they chose "Over the Edge", which included characters that weren't yet introduced in Nolan-verse, they could have gone with much better episodes such as "Almost Got 'Em", "Perchance to Dream", or "Read my Lips". Or include that "lost episode" of BTAS. Or include a NEW commentary. It would have given fans a treat.

Damn. Julie Newmar is still smokin'.

If you'd actually do her, Skyle, I'll give you this round.
I win
-
I love that word.
Me too, and to link our threads together....
-
Jesus in one thread I'm coming across as a fan of old women, and in this one I'm coming across as a guy who knows way to much about Disney!
It's ok, we all have our idiosyncrasies.

Raquel Welch
ooo touche.
Shirley MacLaine, 74
she rocks.

Remember the way they said that McBeth was still alive?
Actually, no, I don't remember much about that series. Sorry But I do think that was Disney's way of saying "Hey! We can be dark and deep too!"

Everyone wanted to fuck Winnie Cooper, so we lived vicariously through Kevin.
No. Not everyone.
-
I was. That show was the most depressing shit ever, though.
Yeah, Kevin was such a loser. But in an endearing way. I'll always remember the episode where he got an engraved bracelet for Winnie that read "Kevin A Mold."
-
I'm ugly too, but I still wouldn't fuck Bea Arthur.
This isn't the "how desperate are you" game. It's people you would do if given the choice.
That made me laugh, really hard.
I'm more disturbed by how much Suavestar actually looks like his avatar.
-
I say I get to play this game because it's hypothetical, and Suavestar would not really do Doris Roberts.
-
Then again, Jenny has a list of ladies she'd sleep with and she isn't bisexual, so maybe it's okay for you to play along.
I'm with Jenny on that one.
-
Hmm. I don't mean to exclude the Earth-2.net ladies (and DW can have the final say on this one since it's his game), but the rules of the game are that you'd have to willingly have sex with these women. So unless you're a lesbian or bi, Selina, I'm not sure your picks count.
Guess I didn't read the rules carefully. Maybe if the rules said "Choose a woman who's over the hill who's so hot, you don't have to be a guy to think so."
If not, bummer. Because I had good ones

Hey! I watched Captain Planet! Yeah, it was kind of lame, but I watched it. I'm remembering a square turquoise head that goes "with all your powers combined, I am captain planet!"
BTAS wasn't around yet in 1989. And after BTAS was over, I was so depressed I tried to get myself to watch Gargoyles...
Stop proving your slide into aged decrepitude by citing examples from your childhood that correspond to my college years. It's ok. My sister tells me SHE feels old because the Jonas Brothers are younger than she is.
-
Can I take this one, or is it against the rules.....
Sure you can!
I just realized she's 62, and not old enough for me to win this game.
-
What about Captain Planet...
Maya the Bee...
Lois and Clark...
The Smurfs?
We're really really old.
-
Because there aren't enough females on the board.
That's ok, I kind of like being one of the only girls. ;-)
Anyway,
did anyone say Susan Lucci?

Blossom's best friend, and the creator of the shows Daughter had a friend called seven, so he just called the girl Six in her memory.
Six lived with her single mother, who dated Blossoms dad for an episode, Six talked way too fast......and I've remembered way to much about that show. I didn't even need wikipedia for this info.
Where are my points?
Wow.
::hangs over bag of gold coins::
You told me things I didn't even know.
-
I had to explain to my sister who Blossom was.
Did you have explain the all round awesomeness of Joey Lawrence in that show? Good god I'm old.
Yes, I did, and she believed it
bonus points if you remember Six.
The Kirby Letters :grumble:
