  1. 848's out.

After what happened in 847 should make this hopefully a better more Batman-y issue.

Also I'm a bit annoyed that their putting this under the R.I.P banner when the only reference to R.I.P is where's Jezebel.

I know what you mean. I read 848...and I'm afraid they're using Selina as a plot device. Which completely ticks me off :T

The art in RIP is better, but the story: blech! I wish RIP and HUSH would switch pencilers.

  2. We always want a happy ending - Clark ends up with Lois, Barry with Iris, Wally with Linda, Peter with M.J. (oops, go back, do over).

Lol, Peter with ordinary MJ. The only cute, high school couple.

When "Rebirth" first aired (not, at that time, having seen a lot of BTAS or Gotham Knights) I couldn't believe that they painted such a bleak picture of Batman's later years...

I hate it. Hate it.

Forget for a moment who would be a good match for him - do you really think he'd be a good match for anyone else?

    Good point.

I think that Selina would be a much better match than Talia, since Talia...shall we say, doesn't wash her hands (because she's EVIL!), but it's a moot point.

    Even better point.

    FOURSOME ANYONE

Black Canary, Huntress, Selina, & Bats. :P

  3. but if you've been awake for 24 hours, you are performing as well as someone with a blood alcohol content of 0.1 %.

It's true, my sister took a psyc class and told me the same thing...

Funny because Batman DRIVES in "Only a Dream."

    ps. love the name GoFlash!

  4. u didn't hear that on a past episode dunno which 1 where mike says the emails that they don't read will sometimes be in the mailbag section of www.worldsfinestpodcast.com ?? and why is your selina avatar's haie black wasn't she a blonde in the cartoon   :D

    1) do you have a link to that mailbag section?

    2) I like her both ways -- but I prefer her with dark hair, like in the comics.

  5. Pre-Episode Banter

I did a psychology paper on MPD and DID too, and I showed my teacher both 'Two-Face' and 'Read My Lips'. I'd definitely be willing to help. I was the one who sent that e-mail forever ago.

I remember listening to that email on WFP. Nice :)

Chemistry- Blah. Not very good. There are some neat and pretty freakish ideas at work, but the romance is underdeveloped and the climax is laughable.

    Ditto.

Beware the Creeper- Good stuff. Some of it is too crazy, but love the Joker origin stuff and the Harley romance.

    Ditto.

-I'm pretty sure it was 'Animaniacs'. Mindy the girl who kept running away and had to be saved by her dog always said it.

I looove that phrase. I used to say it all the time when I was little.

    Judgment Day

4 words: Mask of the Phantasm.

    Scores

    Chemistry- 4

    Beware the Creeper- 7

    Judgment Day- You: 4

Mike said that Mystery of the Batwoman was coming up next

Ugh. (Don't forget to mention more Bruce/Babs inneundo, EW!)

At least this means you'll be reviewing Chase Me. (Right?)

  6. James wrote a review of Superman: Doomsday, but we've never done an audio review.

    Will be checking that out...

Frankly, Gotham Knights let me down. As a teen, I remember it being so much better than BTAS. But now, as an adult, all it has going for it is a redesign and a few mature episodes.

    Couldn't agree more.

For me, however, the show was a let down from the beginning. Besides a few memorable episodes like Never Fear and Mad Love, BTNAS was really disappointing. My main issue with it was how dark and bitter Batman became and how little explanation was offered for it. Bruce was always the good guy with a dark side in BTAS, but by BTNAS, his disposition shifted, and we were expected to accept it. I think the ending of Old Wounds, though it works well, could have been better if they showed Bruce Wayne actually being nice to the ex-crook. They covered up the Batman-being-a-d*** tracks nicely, but it wasn't satisfying.

  7. Gotham Knights just doesn't have the excitement of BTAS, and I feel it in your reviews too. And it's not your fault.

Is there a Superman: Doomsday review somewhere where you two comment on the voice acting? Just curious.

Did you guys get my first email? I'm assuming yes, but it was too long to read on air. And Mike, did you rewind to see the Question mannequin?
