  1. The bit in the cave where Bruce says something about a fish boy and then Alfred says "does that make you feel better sir?" "No, it actually makes me feel worse"

    Always made me say wtf

Were you confused because you're not sure why Bruce says "I feel worse."? If that's the case, what Bruce means is, though he suspected Penguin from the beginning, these new developments proves that Penguin is up to no good. You can paraphrase it:

Alfred: Well, aren't you happy now that your cynicism is proved right?

Bruce: No, why would I? Now I'm going to have to kick his ass and that's time away from me getting ass (From Vicky Vale).

  2. Harvey is black in the first one, yet turns into Tommy Lee Jones for the third

Black Harvey was boring and pointless, but Tommy Lee Jone's Harvey was just a joke.

Wasn't his plan to kill all of the firstborn sons of Gotham? (That's from memory, so pardon me if I'm way off.)

Yes, despite the fact it's been covered in the 10 Commandments.

So there will be a Batman Returns episode? Awesome, special treat.

  3. She then asked me if I wanted to meet up, and I said sure, then she said she was free on Sunday or Tuesday. I said could we meet up on Sunday, she then got back to me by text ten minutes later that she'd have to check on that, she never did let me know.....oh well.

Obviously you still like her, so -- call. It won't hurt.

now all iPhone users are fucked until they can reroute the signal.

My iphone is a much better mail-checker/text-messager than an actual phone. I can't

    1) hear the ringtone

    2) get signal in most places

I may have fucked my back up at work tonight lifting a case of water.

If you can find a steam room to relax in, you'll feel better.

  4. About Harvey's race: I always thought Denzel Washington would make the baddest Harvey Dent. But Batman 89's Harvey Dent did nothing for me, regardless of his race.

I'm telling you...Denzel will go Training Day on Batman's ass, and it'll be sweet.

I hope "She has MAN HANDS!" is going in the soundbite cut.

Very Important Question: Will you 3 review Batman Returns?

  5. I don't think Batman gives a crap about anything but stopping criminals.

Criminals can range from small time crooks to the Joker to the President of the United States.

I think he would stop corruption in the government if he could.

So the real question is, to what party would Bruce Wayne (the real one) anonymously donate this money?

  6. Perhaps he's a staunch Libertarian.

    Maybe

But Bruce may be too much of a tight-ass for Libertarianism. Case in point: Libertarian Platform - Abolition of laws against "victimless crimes" (such as prostitution, driving without a seatbelt, use of controlled substances, fraternization, etc.). AND--Support for the unrestricted right to the means of self-defense (such as gun rights, the right to carry mace or pepper spray, etc).

  7. The BTAS Batman is a much less hard-line character than the comics Batman, anyway. (For the better, IMO.)

I agree. But he did offer to help Killer Croc in Hush. And I think Bruce will never completely give up on Harvey Dent -- nor will he ever trust him. That kind of conflicted personality makes me think he's neither Democrat or Republican, which is interesting because Batman is widely know to be black and white.

  8. Thanks, Boston Dan ;)

He's always been more about punishment than rehabilitation.

I seem to recall several occasions in BTAS where Bruce wanted to desperately help someone. He believed in Harvey's rehabilitation, Clayface ("Hagen! I can help you!"), and if he were more into punishment, he would have killed Joker a long time ago instead of putting him in Arkham. I think he essentially wants to see everyone "better," and not locked up. I see the guard from "Locked Up" being the republican and Bruce being more liberal in that regard.

    Oops, and Harley's Holiday too.

  9. this has to be the funniest thread on the forums omg I nearly saw diet coke fly outta my nose

    :D

Great! But I am looking for serious answers as well.

What do you think Bruce's stance would be with gay marriage, abortion, and healthcare?

It's an interesting way to see how differently fans see him by bringing up opposing views.

  10. Bruce is a CEO.

He is hard on crime, just shy of the death penalty.

He has infringed on civil liberties in times of crisis.

He wears rubber costumes at night.

    Totally a Republican

    I am 100% against crime.

I can throw baratangs, sometimes two at a time.

I also sometimes wear tights at night.

    Am I a Republican?

  11. With the buzz of the upcoming election, a tie in with Batman.

In July, the Wall Sreet Journal posted an article comparing TDK to Bush...Old news.

I don't agree with the article. But when I ask myself "Is Bruce Wayne a Democrat or a Republican?", I don't have an answer.

I want to know what you guys think, and please be specific when explaining why.

  12. I teach English at an alternate school of kids aged 16-early 20s.

You can look at it this way: your students care enough about your opinion to ruffle your feathers. They probably wanted to get a rise out of you...

Either that or they're Stan Lee enthusiasts. Either way, life is more exciting ;)
