  1. *shrugs* To each their own. I only started following it after #9 came out, and ordered 2 to 6 and picked up #8, and that was on recommendation of IIWY. The two issues before this one have been one shots, and while 8 wasn't the best filler in the world (and that was because they changed artists and it was godawful), it was pretty decent, and I felt like #9 was a nice tie-in to Battle for the Cowl without getting the characters embroiled in it (though I still think Bane had more of a go for the title than either Catman or Ragdoll). Maybe check it out this month? I don't know, they're starting a big new arc and such.
  2. ...Can I have whatever they were smoking when they made the last third or so of that cinematic, please?
  3. Got it yesterday, posted what I thought in the comics I bought. ...I really didn't like it that much. Morrison seems like he's trying to force our reading of Damian (who's an annoying little prick) with Alfred's comments on him and him somehow being able to, at his extremely young age, build (or at least design) a flying Batmobile.
  4. Batman and Robin #1: ...Ehhh. It was okay, I guess. Bats and Robin sniping at each other is going to get real old real quick, though Damian being a little prick is a given. Flying Batmobile looks really space agey, almost out of the fifties. And Pyg is creepy, Mr. Toad having a wild ride seems like a fairly obvious literary allusion. Worth a look through, but I'm probably not buying more of this. Secret Six #10: Simone is putting out consistently what may be the best book in the DCU currently. Good stuff with Scandal Savage bonding with Bane over getting him to quit the venom, and the slavers arc is starting (Artemis as a slave is going to be very interesting, I don't know who "Mina" was supposed to be). Great plot, good art, good team interaction (Jeanette and Blake, Scandal and Bane, especially), some solid action moments and have I mentioned how much I love Simone? Interesting back up for Justice Leage: A Cry For Justice. It looks like Hal's pushing for VENGEANCE, especially for J'onn's and Bruce's death. Looks worth a look. Comic Books: 51 TPBs: 19 Graphic Novels: 2 Motion Comic: 1
  5. That's what corsets were supposed to do? I mean, seriously, if you got your waist down to twelve inches with one of those in that time, you were pretty. Might break a few ribs while you were at it, but. That makeup looks awesome for Brolin. I can't wait to see this, it looks good.
  6. But can its awesomeness be recognized of the intended fanbase doesn't have the money to buy the system or the game itself? ...They started the PSP out at that price range, if I remember correctly, and it sold pretty goddamn abysmally. I don't know why they're going the MMO route again with FFXIV, FFXI isn't doing all that well. Also, The Last Guardian looks awesome. Too bad I'll not have the money to buy it.

I may have missed the gargoyle part, you'll have to point it out. Regardless, glad to hear your plane didn't crash and burn that you seemingly had quite a lovely time.
  8. So, my friends and I just watched Dragonball Evolution. It got so bad after a certain point we couldn't even make fun of it anymore, just yell at the computer screen. On the other hand, I have discovered a lovely drink that mixes Chambord, vanilla liquer, and Ghiradhelli hot cocoa mix, and it is helping me forget things.
  9. Kinda. I'm not sure they're "retcons," but yeah, it's really messed up. KH2 confused me enough, what with the copied Twilight Town and stuff. I count them as retcons, as I don't think that anyone was expecting these games to be as popular as they were, and the first game had pretty nicely wrapped things up. And then came KHII, due to popularity, and, well, you saw what happened there. If you're interested, Wiki 358/2 Days, it's already out in Japan and thus has a summary up already, and you'll see what I mean, if you haven't already. You can probably find ROMs for it pretty easily, too.
  10. I don't have the money to afford current gen gaming!
  11. This is the sound of a cute bomb going off.
  12. My little sister who loves the Beatles and loves Guitar Hero is probably going to LOVE this.
  13. I have this to say about KH 358/2 Days: I Wiki'd it, and Nomura, with the retcons, has made it even more convoluted than I thought humanly possible.

    Things you want

In order: -The ability to actually sleep again, through a full night, and not have to get up at 8 (goddamn fuck everything that's fucking with my head currently) -A measure of not being emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted -500 gig external hard drive -The lamp from A Christmas Story (as seen here)
  15. Amusing tidbit. Just found out that Patrick Wilson was Raoul in the Schumacher version of Phantom of the Opera. The man doesn't have a half bad voice, if that was acutally him singing in the movie.

Because everyone needs their Daily Reccommended Dose of CUTE , I present to you puggles (mix of pugs and beagles). My neighbors at home are trying to breed a pair, so there may be puppies soon.
  18. Watching Moulin Rouge for the epic lulz, along with TB DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT AND EVERYONE IN THIS MOVIE SHOULD BE DEAD OF TB AND ALSO IT'S NOT A SEXY DEATH.
  19. ! Must get hard drive so I can download various movies. That, or Netflix. xD
  20. See, aside from some stupid bitch spilling a full glass of water on my MacBook last year and damaging the optical drive (and that was under warranty, thank god, so it was a free fix), I've not had any issues with my laptop. So hearing this cable will regularly break down every two to four years is a bit annoying.
  21. So, apparently my Mac's power adapter is having issues where I have to angle the cable in order to get it to charge/retain charge. After talking to Mac tech supposrt and looking on the Apple website, it appears this is a fairly common happening, and I can expect this to happen every two years or so, even if I've only been wrapping up the power cord to transport it places. Which means I basically have to pay $80 to replace this now so I have a functioning power cable. But at least the MacBookPro adapter works for this model as well. So maybe it'll last longer.

    The Apple Inc. Thread

Figure this can go here, please tell me if I's wrong and this should go elsewhere. So, the power cable/adapter for my MacBook has been acting really strange lately. I have to position the cable for the power cable in a very specific position in order for it to charge/retain a charge. And sometimes it'll still drain power, like this morning. Anyone else ever had this problem? I'm debating taking out the adapter and just plugging in the power cable and seeing if the problem's there. EDIT: Yeah, the problem seems to be with the cable, not the adapter. Nevermind.
