Most of the people from the original roles are either not going to be interested in a TV remake of a movie from their earlier career, or are dead. Honestly, I think there's a chance for a new generation of actors to do a decent job with these roles, but only if the actual plot is going to be even remotely like the original movie (and odds are it's not).

They really really can. Especially Gaeta. He's taken a really dark turn this half of the season that I was not expecting. Though it's nice to see Roslin having her Rocky moment. And yay for them finally showing Roslin and Adama in bed together! (And now something horrible's going to happen. Because no one in this show can ever have happy things.)
