  1. I giggled when I heard that because I knew it would be totally lost on Ian.
  2. Oh god, I had blocked that out completely. Such an incongruous song to attach to The Shadow.
  3. You should get Ian involved in that one if only for more lessons from Rex Smith's Acting Masterclass
  4. That is DEFINITELY on the list. I can't wait to hear what Ian thinks about that.
  5. I really liked the Highlander series because it tried to expand on the ideas in the first film and attempted to make sense of the conflicting continuity of the films. If anything I think they made a mistake in acknowledging the existence of Connor. It just made a rod for their own backs by claiming the show existed in the same universe as the films. Having said that I have never had the desire to give the later films a go and I now know I'm not missing out.
  6. Oh yes. Pushing Daises is definitely on the list as are a couple of other short lived Bryan Fuller shows.
  7. I shall miss Ahmed Johnson when he goes. Not for anything he does but for the involuntary sigh of resignation that Stavros makes whenever his name is mentioned. I did manage to watch the first Rocky/HHH match. Having not watched wrestling during this era it's very strange to watch 2 men who I know are amazing preformes working gimmicks that they will both evolve beyond. While seeing the Rock as a please everybody babyface is just wrong I think for me the biggest difference was HHH. The whole bowing thing and upper class arrogance is very removed from his later more cocky persona.
  8. What have I done. DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN WHAT HAVE I DONE!
  9. This was an absolute blast to record. I people have as much fun listening to it as we did recording it.
  10. As the full podcast is now out there once you have heard it you will have discovered that the next show we are covering is 80s super-vehicle one season wonder Street Hawk. Ian and I are going to be viewing these on YouTube so it seemed reasonable that I also put the episodes here. That way people can watch alone without having tho search for them. With this in mind (and providing the link works) below should be the Feature length pilot which we are going to be covering in Earth-2.net's signature beat-by-beat style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrRwigj0sHM
  11. Here is a link to the Camberwick Green opening to episode 13 in all of its bonkers glory.
  12. I have seen them and they are decent documentaries. Can't think why they weren't added to the DVDs as they would have been a great addition.
  13. Great podcast and nice to have BOTI back. I'm with Dan on Deep Breath. I want to like it but I just don't. It has too many of Moffat's reheated leftovers for my liking. Reusing the robots from The Girl in the Fireplace with a slight twist just felt lazy as does having to consciously not do something your body does automatically (I'm expecting a monster who attacks people who think next series) Moffat going back to his limited bag of tricks is also the reason I don't like Listen either. I felt that his solo written stories were the weakest of the season and for me it is becoming clear that he's use all the arrows in his quiver and now he just repainting them and firing them again in the hope that no one notices.
  14. Yes. Those too. There could be a potential Dave/Pandy crossover episode.
  15. I'm pretty sure this would mean that Wayne's World is on the table in which case I'm all over that like a spider monkey.
  16. I never saw this when it was on but after hearing the Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner in the clips I looked up the cast list and my word but this show is like a second income for the cast of TNG. More importantly though the character of Griff is played by none other than Mr Neil Dickson who was also BIGGLES! Freaking Biggles was in Gargoyles which automatically makes it awesome.
  17. Holy crap! I thought that I was the only one who broke Webstor's backpack grapple. Had no idea that it was a general thing. I feel slightly better about it now. Enjoyed hearing you guys talking at length about something completely unrelated to the show and then realising that you've probably got to the end of actual episode discussion. That's something that happens on TABHAL pretty much once and episode if not more. I'm a real sucker for Space Seed. I think Ricardo Mantleban (sp?) Is amazing. While I agree that casting a Latino actor as an Indian is racially insensitive at least they cast someone non Caucasian. It could have easily been a white guy in make up. I love Scotty in the original series and I'm happy that you guys are picking up on that. I find his reduction to comedy relief in the Abrams films (particularly Into Darkness) so annoying because TOS Scotty is so badass.
  18. Just come home from a lovely weekend spent at with our regular feedback contributors Peter and Anne-Marie (the Orgs) where they introduced us to Star Trek Attack Wing. It was much more fun than I initially thought it was going to be and we are looking to get our own copy. Having said that the cost of extra ships is crazy high. Over 10 quid for a tiny plastic ship, two cards and a move wheel? bloody hell that's steep.
  19. Martin Blank Vs Felix Lapubelle in Grosse Point Blank Westly Vs Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride Inigo Montoya Vs Count Rugen in The Princess Bride Nick Angel Vs Simon Skinner in the model village from Hot Fuzz Sherlock Holmes Vs Jame Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (Because the physical battle is played out entirely hypothetically by both men)
  20. Don't get me wrong. I love Star Wars and will defend it to the last. I was thinking more that it would be an interesting experiment to see what my reaction to it would be as an adult seeing it for the first time. Would I find things in it that I currently miss because I have seen it so many times? I'm sure I would still love it but the experience would be a very different one.
  21. I'd go with Star Wars just to find out if as an adult I think it's a great film or whether it's childhood nostalgia influencing me.
  22. I quite enjoyed it. The look of it was really reminiscent of the comic strips in Doctor Who magazine in the late 90s to early 00s written by Scott Gray and drawn by Lee Sullivan. The Teller was like a piece of Lee Sullivan artwork come to life and it was only emphasised by the brief shot of Absalom Daak as drawn by Sullivan showing up in the criminal database. Not a stone cold classic, not every story is going to be, but for that reason it had a warm glow of familiarity for me as Scott and Sullivan had an amazing run.
  23. I'm totally adopting "Chinless Namor" as a insult.
