  1. I have not been keeping up with everything. This is mostly due to laziness and I am very very sorry for it. I am going to continue the show, but only regularly up to 25. After that point I will still do "quarterlies" and specials. But I have a responsibility coming that is going to take the time I would use for this podcast.

Once again I am very sorry, I feel like I let you guys down.

  2. I had my hand in my face the whole way through (in a good way, the cheesy comedy kept a smile on my face throughout the episode). I'm very happy that Clark is developing from "Uhhh... what decision should I make?" to a more "superman" approach of making a decision and staying with it. What I'm really hoping for is that Clark tells Lois his secret at the end of this season. Then next season (final hopefully) will be a comic book fanwank-fest that will lead to a grand conclusion with Clark in the suit and maybe (personal hope) gets engaged to Lois on the last episode.

Last note: I hope Michael Rosenbaum comes back for at least the final few episodes.

  3. Shanks voice was quite comical in bits, there were some points he was good, other times... well...

I know very little about the JSA's history and it did seem that the people who know the JSA's backstory will get more enjoyment out of this.

I did have to have a little squee when I saw MM with the green shirt and red X.

Could've used a stronger villain IMO. And there didn't seem to be enough focus on Clark being "Superman-ish".

    2.5/5

  4. The Idiot's Lantern

This one has always kind of bored me, and it still does. It's not bad -- and I do like the Question-like effect on the people -- but the villain is nothing more than a mustache-twirler and the father is way over-the-top.

There is something that always make me sad a little inside. In the original script I believe, there was to be a moment between the Doctor and the young boy towards the end. The Doctor was to be skittish about climbing up the tower, mentioning a bad incident with a radio telescope.

  5. I recently discovered Red Dwarf, very funny show. Currently watching series 4 with my sister.

There's a story about how Patrick Stewart was flipping through channels until he saw what he thought was an infringement on Star Trek. He starting dialing his lawyer until he saw something that made him laugh.

  6. Well, III had Superman fighting evil Superman...

And IMO one of the best events in the Original Superman films. Because it was one of the only fistfights, and done very well.

That's not to say I'm all about the fight scenes, I do enjoy Superman's "goodness" I just think that they need to be balanced.

  7. DISLAIMER: I did not include spoiler tags because TEoT has fully debuted in the States and if you are still waiting to see it and not wanting any spoilers, you probably shouldn't be anywhere near anything WHO-related.

What a powerful regeneration (no pun intended)! This is the first time we've really seen the Doctor treat his change like a death. "I don't wanna go." just makes you start tearing up, and then just the powerful drama of his regeneration blowing the TARDIS apart. Then right before that first tear leaves your eye Matt Smith appears. With Nine's regeneration into Ten I was a bit puzzled just how he was going to work out. But Matt Smith instantly captivated my attention. The only thing that I found cringe worthy was the line "And still not ginga!". It felt like a bad attempt to emulate Ten. I did enjoy "Nose... uh.. I've had worse.". As the nose seems to be where the Doctor keeps most of his vanity. Now, I've seen very little who from the starting era (bits and pieces, but the only full story from 1963 - 1969 that I've seen is "The Seeds of Death") but I got a very 1st/2nd Doctor vibe from him. The trailer for the next series looks fantastic, and I got a very McCoy era feel out of it.

  8. Now, when Robin ended I didn't know about Red Robin. But now I want to catch up and was looking if they'd release a trade (Those are 12 issue compilations right?). And amazon has Red Robin: The Grail listed, however it doesn't say what is in it. I looked on google and don't see it either, but is it a safe bet that that will be the first 12 issues? I'll start picking it up from there.
