RSS
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa! If this review series is entitled Is It Wednesday Yet?, why are these reviews hitting the site on Thursday? Simply put, the two reviews you're going to read today had a press embargo placed on them. For the uninformed, a press embargo is when your source asks you to hold onto certain information (in this case, reviews) until a certain date. Due to the fact that the following two comics play major parts in Marvel's forthcoming landscape, one can understand their position: they didn't want spoilers to leak in the days before the books actually hit the shelves. What books did Tim and drq review this week? Annihilation: Conquest - Quasar #4 and X-Men: Messiah Complex. James D.
I noticed that the teaser to this article is inexplicably at the very end of the column body itself.
Missy
Hmm. That's odd. Thanks for pointing out that error, James. It's corrected now.
Dread
Well done! Nice to see I am not wrong about Messiah Complex. What a mess Marvel's X office is in. Drq's quote sums up the entire line perfectly for me: "great creative minds coming together to underachieve in unison."
Missy
Hey now! X-Factor, adjectiveless and Astonishing are really good! That said, Uncanny is stinky, and Wolverine I haven't touched since the start of Loeb's run.
Dread
I'm kind of meh on X-Factor and Astonishing is something I don't even consider a part of the regular X line. When or if they do add it, I'll drop it.
tglancy
Regular old X-Men WAS tremendous, but now that they are lumping it in with all this other stuff, I dropped it.
Malpractice
I have read that Messiah Complex One-Shot twice now and i don't think i could tell you one thing that happened in it.
drqshadow
Haha, and thus my problem with it as well. I know they flew in a plane! And that something was on fire!
