Professor
Not sure if I love them yet. I only found them an hour ago. But this is so going to be in my head all day tomorrow. That is a certainty.
Professor
Reason why I still listen to randomness from the library or in the 4/$1 bin at the Goodwill. Yeah, mostly mediocre, sometimes bad, but then you find gems like the Carolina Chocolate Drops. So worth it.
Professor
I love Air. I really do. Moon Safari is most likely my favorite album. Not just by Air, I mean favorite album full stop. I come to realize that in the past year. And yet, I find a concert on YouTube and it really weird to see them play. Kinda like peaking behind the curtain and seeing the true Oz. So weird. teenalphabro
I've currently been obsessed with Zeal & Ardor lately. Great mix of musical genres, honestly, and I never thought I'd say that about something that involved black metal.

Genre-mixing is the new thing with Black Metal now which is good because most of the time. BM by itself is terrible. Blackgaze is a thing with Alcest, GhostBath , Deafheaven, and my favourite Vattnet Viskar (just Vattnet now). My favourite though is the mix of folk music and black metal which you get with Cobalt, Agalloch, Fall of Rauros and Panopticon (my favourite.) Their album "Kentucky" is being called blackguard because it mixes bluegrass and black metal. Pretty impressive. Edit: Jesus...how did I get all those band names through the autocorrect of Safari and not the two bolded words?
teenalphabro
Yeah, I'll have to check all those out, I've been trying to find some new stuff to fill out my music library.

Professor
Been watching random videos of Prince live. I'm not one for live shows, but man I would have loved to see him live.
Professor
Dave Grohl made a thing. That thing being a 23 minute instrumental in which he plays everything. Because why not?
Professor
Been watching a lot of Stevie Ray Vaughan videos. I've been a fan for years and have had all his albums since I was making mixtapes. But watching him play is something else. And I have no idea what look he was going for here, but it is awesome. Professor
Sometimes Present Me has no idea why Past Me did things. I bookmarked this at some point. I have no idea what rabbit hole I went down to get there.

Professor
Probably 75% due to the accent on Chocolate Jesus, I am really digging this cover. Good job YouTube recommendations.

Professor
Randomly heard today that Steven Tyler is 71. And that kinda shocked me. The punchline for old rock band has been The Rolling Stones for so long that Aerosmith has just kinda flown under the radar.
Professor
So, Poppy. I only know of her from NXT using a few songs and her showing up a few weeks back. Went to check out her albums. I am confused. This Transitions into Not what I expected.
Guest
The Poppy thing started as a really interesting and sorta creepy series of videos about the "character" and then it just turned out that it was all marketing for her music and it instantly became a lot less cool. Dread
Not my thing, but Poppy and Babymetal are really pissing off a lot of metal purists and I love it.
