Missy
I was torn when it came to the inclusion of the two films he co-directed with Terry Jones, so don't get all Monty Python fanboy on me by screaming, "Gilliam only directed a few minutes," or whatever. Just vote for your favorite Terry Gilliam picture, and then for the best.
Dread
While I so entirely agree with your choices, Mike, to me Brazil is the only possible answer. It is epic brilliance on a scale never seen before. I love a lot of Gilliam films but there was absolutely no choice for me there. Seen Tideland? Luke
My favourite is easily The Holy Grail, although I decided not to vote for that as 'Best' since it's not entirely his. Instead I went for Fear and Loathing, because I think it's a superb adaptation of a book that can't have been easy to adapt at all. And I haven't seen Brazil. Shame on me. Missy
Based on your recommendation, Des, Brazil has been added to my Netflix queue. It's in the second slot, so I'll see it within the next 10 days or so.
Dan
Holy Grail is my favorite, but yeah, Brazil is abnsoutely his best ever. Mike: Make sure you have the director's cut version, not the "Love Conquers All" version the studio messed with. The former is genius. The latter is... not. drqshadow
I really didn't care for Brazil. If it were about half an hour shorter, maybe, but DAMN does that thing drag. I voted Holy Grail and Twelve Monkeys, respectively.
Stavros
Non-Python its Fear and Loathing, but throw in Holy Grail and theres only one way I can go.
Guest
I've literally only seen two of these. Take a wild guess which ones.
Malpractice
Brazil for both categories. They are all great films though (with the exception of Fear And Loathing).
You Know Who
Grail for favorite, Brazil for best. Sorry Des; should have done my homework.
