RSS Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 Because you demanded it! The Sultans of Suffering present the very first audio edition of Tranquil Tirades! Join James and Damien as they discuss Murder-Set-Pieces, an exploitation blunder that both of our hosts agree is the worse movie ever made. Ever. What do Jack the Ripper and 9/11 have in common? Why is there a random kid on railroad tracks? How can you scream with a slit throat? Since when do Nazis look like Kenny Rogers? Just where, exactly, is the plot? None of these questions are answered, but Earth-2.net's resident smartasses still manage to fight the good fight and blow this cinematic abortion away with their Shotgun of Truth and Justice. Remember: They suffer, so you don't have to. [ 1:32:49 || 42.7 MB ] The above is from: http://www.earth-2.net/theshow/episodes/e2ts_407.mp3 Quote
Missy Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 This is a really fun episode, guys! James, you pointed out the sign in the porn shop advertising live girls. I can confirm that some porn stores do indeed have that. You know when you see a film and a guy in a booth is watching a woman strip through a window / one-way mirror, passing money through a slot? That's where those sometimes are. And yes, I realize I just admitted to viewing such a thing. Quote
Aaron Robinson Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Oh god, I’ve been in one of those. There was a group of us and we were all a bit tipsy, and we thought it would be hilarious. It was depressing. The floors were sticky. The floors were sticky. Quote
Guest TFG1Mike Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 haven't listened yet, but just wanted to say that I love the last line in the descript. A Takeoff of the nostalgia critic very funny: Remember: They suffer, so you don't have to. Quote
James D. Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 So, Dubs, what was the final tally on mental problems for Photographer? I think we ultimately determined that he's a serial-killing, narcissistic, vampiric, necrophiliac, cannibalistic, pedophilic, hallucinating, adulterous sex-a-holic, insomniac Nazi who is frequently constipated. Missy Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 James and DW, I moved the Tony Todd quote to the very end of the episode. So please don't think I deleted it. Quote
You Know Who Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 I looked up Nick Palumbo on wikipedia but it just goes to Murder-Set-Pieces Quote
Missy Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Hmm. That's a recent change then, 'cause I saw his profile over the weekend when I gave this episode a listen. Quote

He also blames the Jews for 9/11 and has a fear of trains. Oh, and he hears random voices in his head. Doesn't surprise me the Palumbo article was trashed. Anyone that saw it could tell what a mess of narcissism it was. Quote
dc20willsave Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 So, in case anyone wants to commit an act of extreme masochism, I just found out Murder Set Pieces is available streaming from NetFlix. I'm actually reading peoples reviews of the film and all of the ones that are five stars are glowing about the misogynist nature of the film and how they love rape films. I'm sure these are the same dumbasses who declare Saw imaginative. My faith in the human race is diminished and seeing as how it was a pretty empty glass to begin with... Quote
Missy Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 The movie finally has its own Wiki page, and someone (I honestly don't know who) quoted this review. Quote
