RSS
In their second episode, the Heroes may already be quitting the show. And with episodes like "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date," "The Pack," "Angel," and "I Robot, You Jane," who can blame them? Why do Preston and Hannah keep talking about comics? Why does Xander rival Cordy for the Heroes' hatred? And just why, God, why? Listen and find out if they make it to another episode. Guest TFG1Mike
A quick STUPID question will you guys be changing the podcast art for each series you cover? Loving the show!
Molly
You'll find out in roughly 12 episodes of the show, Mike. Patience.
Guest
Bayonetta Bullet Witch Onichanbara Persona 3 and 4 All of which came out long after Buffy. It was likely a reference to the entire Hong Kong "Girls with Guns" film genre.
Molly
I knew I could count on you, Dubs.
SteveJRogers
The Angel doesn't talk bit is used quite often in the series. Not until he gets his own series I think he is finally allowed to open up and tell people what's what, instead of being all "Fuck off, I'm supposed to be the GOD DAMNED BATMAN! Even though Frank Miller isn't going to write that for another 5 years or so!" I forget what episode it is down the road, in a later season, Buffy is talking to Angel in the crypt, and she literally has a freaking 10 minute monologue, including questions, and all Angel does is look at her in a mopey, brooding look. I guess having a soul when you are a vampire means you lose all concepts of conversational skills!
KnightWing
I thought the principal's death in The Pack was actually really surprising/shocking. Loved it when I saw it the first time. I think it was more notable because it was a high school-based TV series that actually killed off a minor character in the first several episodes. Molly
Aaron, I can see what they were going for, but I can't get over the fact that all four of them were in there at once. There is no way that ever, ever would have happened.
KnightWing
Ah. Well, I suppose that's a legitimate gripe.
CoolB
Don't have any actual comments on the actual episode reviews but in terms of the podcast... I enjoyed the Waiting for Godot and the WFP references. I loved the Mordor/morgue door joke. And huzzah for the use of defenestrate! More people need to learn that word so it can be used more often. Keep up the great work.
Stavros
I quite like the Pack. I'm not saying it's good, but a lot of early Buffy has it's roots in crappy B-movies ideas and this was that sort of thing. I hate I Robot You Jane though. That episode sucks balls. dc20willsave
I hate I Robot You Jane though. That episode sucks balls. And the best part is, I can name at least two episodes that are worse.

Doublemeat Palace and Hells Bells. But fortunately those are ages away.

Stavros
Season 3? There's nothing in season 3 this bad.
dc20willsave
Season 3? There's nothing in season 3 this bad. I meant in Season 4. Where The Wild Things Are to be exact. In my opinion, the worse episode of anything Whedon has done.

Guest TFG1Mike
I'm catching up and I gotta say Growling Preston can give Stoner Mike a run for his money.
