  1. John Wick, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and The Matrix.
  2. Let's talk on Facebook about it. I can send you a sample there to work off of.
  3. Do you have a website with your artwork? I’m finishing up a book I’ve been working on for two years and am going to need to look for an illustrator soon (originally I was gonna do it myself but it’s a big project and I don’t want to get burned out on it when I’ve gotten this far).
  4. Thank you! Bookwise, definitely seek out Dinosaur Art volumes 1 and 2 from Titan Books, and if you like his work, definitely search for The Paleoart of Julius Csotonyi. Your miles may vary, but definitely look at the websites of artists Raúl Martin, Alain Beneteau, Davide Bonadonna, Bob Walters, and Roman Garcia-Mora. There are lots of others I could name, including artists who specialize in drawing other prehistoric animals like pterosaurs and saber-toothed cats. If you live near Philadelphia, Dr Jason Poole sometimes teaches one-off or seasonal drawing classes devoted to dinosaurs which are definitely worth your time. Check out his adult coloring book too.
  5. Basterds>Avengers>Jedi>Force Awakens>Rogue One>Galaxy Quest>Black Pearl>Spy Who Shagged Me. That said, I’m due for a rewatch of all the Austin Powers films.
  6. -Wall calendar (national parks) -New Apple charger, radio jack, and screen spray -Money -Danish football scarf -Blue V-neck -Two Old Navy giftcards -Edgar Allen Poe pencil case -Paleoart, by Zoë Lescaze -Velociraptor socks
  7. I’m excited and on board for this movie based on my love of the original film and dinosaurs and I do like Jurassic World, but I will concede the point that the InGen people are written to be unbelievably stupid.
  8. That's sorta kinda happening in the next film (see new thread w/trailer).
  9. I’m due for a rewatch. I remember enjoying it during the first viewing (when I was about 11 or 12) but being bored and stonefaced when I saw again a few years ago.
  10. Blue Brothers, though I also think it would be interesting if you reviewed Ghostbusters 2 as your premiere pick since it’s much maligned but you’ve both stated you’re fans of it.
  11. Favorite Featured Actor: Tom Hanks Favorite Review: Braveheart (Mel Gibson) Worst Movie Covered: Also Braveheart (Mel Gibson) Best Feedback: The debut of the Probert Express (Mike Myers) Favorite Jingle: Pandy Powers (Mike Myers) Most Anticipated Subject for Next Year: So very difficult, but since you covered Mel Gibson this year and Nicolas Cage the year before, a Tom Cruise month could be next year’s looney bin pick
  12. Kong: Skull Island: Been meaning to get to for a while and it’s alright. Probably the second-best of the four Kong films I’ve seen (though King Kong vs Godzilla isn’t among them).
  13. No you're not. I don't love that Pixar is churning out sequels post-Toy Story 3 to begin with, but this one will have to be really innovative to avoid being either being just a bland sequel or recycling stuff from the glut of superhero movies that have come out since 2004.
  14. Pig in the City is awful, but random animals would have improved Home Alone 2 immeasurably. Gremlins: Yes it's a bit early, but it was added to Netflix fairly recently and I'd never seen it before. The Gremlins themselves don't look all that great and there's about five solid minutes of them looting the local bar but otherwise it's pretty fun. Definitely the better of the two films that gave us PG-13. I missed the Spielberg cameo Innerspace: It's alright, though I starting to get tired while watching. Might be good for Dennis Quaid or Martin Short month. Unfortunately, only about 10% of the film actually focuses on Tuck in the human body. On the plus side, the lead villain from Commando sorta-kinda plays the Terminator here.
  15. Don’t you mean ‘would’ rather than ‘will’? It’s not doing so well.
  16. They’re amazing. Not many really famous actors (other than Julian Glover, who plays Stanislaus Grumman in The Subtle Knife) but definitely worth your time. I promote them whenever HDM or Audible come up.
  17. Have you listened to the audiobooks of HDS narrated by Pullman and with a full cast voicing the characters?
