  1. It's like nobody remembers Operation: Dumbo Drop.
  2. I've finally had a chance to read this, and once again I'm impressed with drq and DW's stuff here. I had absolutely zero interest in reading Wolverine First Class, but I think I might actually pick it up now. Great job, guys.
  3. First and foremost, congratulations to you both. Happy anniversary. <Doctor Who nerd> The 10th/5th Doctor special is called "Time Crash". It's all over Youtube, and it's well worth anyone's time. </Doctor Who nerd> Man, I hope you guys are able to continue reviewing Preacher. That series was a huge part of my college experience, and it's a huge trip going back. Congrats again!
  4. Yeah, reality's like that. Best thing is to not deal with it.

    Episode 33

And ironically, whereas 25th is Silver and 50th is Gold, the 190th anniversary is Fire.
  6. Sounds like he might be. Four buys and a borrow? Damn, sir.
  7. I'll have you know I haven't feared boobies since I was at least 24 years old.
  8. Hmm. You know, I think you may have something there.
  9. Random Observations: Jenny should totally sing more often. I can't think of anything more intrinsically geeky than a thirty-year-old man wigging out over something he liked when he was seven or eight. That is an awesome idea for a segment. I don't know what the laws are in Illinois, but in Massachusetts, the cops would be allowed to ticket you in your parking lot. You pay a condo fee for, among other things, the use of the parking lot, but you don't specificaly OWN it. As long as the management company has no issue with it, and the cop doesn't have to, like, climb a fence or dig a tunnel to get in, you're fair game. That said, hey almost never ever actually DO this, because it's a dickhead thing to do, unless one happened to see you do something you weren't supposed to and then turned into your lot (I once got ticketed for driving without an inspection sticker, and a cop follwed me home). I am of the opinion that the Crow franchise should have ended witht he first movie. The rest of the movies, and the TV show, were abominable. I haven't seen Wicked Prayer - it's the only one I haven't seen, because my fondness for the original keeps me coming back in hopes maybe THIS sequel will be better, but after the one with Kirsten Dunst I just gave up. Blech.

    Superman is 70... today?

Go sit in the corner. Sit there and think about what you've done. ... doesn't want to listen to the Beatles... I've thought about it. Yeah, still bore the crap out of me. All right, that's it. Step outside.

    Superman is 70... today?

Go sit in the corner. Sit there and think about what you've done. ... doesn't want to listen to the Beatles... Anyway, Chrsitopher Reeve was the be all, and all for me. I was four when the first movie come out, and after that there was no hope for me. Superman was the first comic I ever subscribed to, back when Clark was a TV anchorman (with Steve Lombard on sports!) and the book was bloated with Vartox. This is possibly the nadir of the whole Superman mythos, but these are some of my fondest memories.

    Is Adsense worth it?

I'd like to apply for whatever their positions were.
  13. The Spider-Man movie games will never be mistaken for console greatness, but there are worse ways to waste a couple of hours. I'm enough of a Spidey nerd to wait and see if this looks like it'll be worth picking up used.
  14. I don't have any issue at all with Scarlett's black duds, because a counterintelligence officer in bright yellow spandex is going to get shot. A lot. I have to admit I giggled a little at Dennis Quaid. Hopefully it'll look better on screen.
  15. I loved his Daredevil and early Marvel stuff, but for whatever reason, from Ronin on, Miller has gotten steadily and progressively worse to look at. He's able to make it work to a degree on Sin City, but for the most part I can't stand his style. It's like a right-handed person trying to trace Kirby with his left hand. The Klaus Janson inks aren't helping, either. And Dark Knight Strikes Again was just abominable on every level.
  16. Also, Year One is helped out enormously by the fact that Miller doesn't, you know, draw it.
  17. Glad I'm not the only one. You're not. Dark Knight is important, but it's easier to admire than enjoy.
  18. You've clearly done this before. You know, Tim's writing a script over in the Friday the 13th thread... kind of...
  19. Is that like a gaggle of cheerleaders?
  20. That's another great review, Aaron. I'm really enjoying these.

    Okami for the Wii

Was that the calligraphy game? That seems tailor made for the Wii.
  22. Oh, great. Now the weasels are building an ark in the backyard. Like they don't bring the Homeowners' Association to my door often enough.
  23. Ooh... Lynda Carter... *random noises of general lasciviousness* Haven't thought about that show in a while... gears turning...
