  1. Anyone who says The Dark Phoenix Saga is overrated dosen't like good comics. Haha! Touche! I don't dislike it, I just get angry when people hold it up against stuff like Watchmen. Good but not in the same league.
  2. All I know of Carey's Marvel work is that he has yet to write an issue of an X-book that I have come anywhere in the vicinity of enjoying and he completely ruined Ultimate Fantastic Four and anyone who disagrees doesn't like good comics.
  3. Just like the Safeway's in Canada have nothing to do with those in the US. I see no need to get all worked up about the new Superman movie. I have a policy that is as follows: if I don't see Superman punching a robot/alien/monster at least forty times his size in the trailer, I simply won't watch it until it's on network television.
  4. That can't be right. I was a college sophomore when Bill Bixby died. Oh, fuck. I am old. Ha! If I remember correctly, he died shortly after an appearance on Arsenio Hall that I saw when I was a very young teenager. You are old. Yowza! I for one loved the first movie and chalk it up to the fact that people can't handle a Marvel Superhero film by a director who actually knows what he's doing. It's a beautifully made film Hulk Dogs and all. The bare thought of Liv Tyler being in any movie makes me want to put a gun in my mouth. But I loves me some Norton. So conflicted....Tim Roth is too coo to avoid as well...brain hurting, Abomination looking like high school gym teacher i have tried to forget...
  5. What he did was seek help in evading taxes from someone who got the blame. He got away scot free with three years. And he'll be gone no longer than a year and a half.
  6. A douchebag who makes millions a year and doesn't pay taxes deserves jail in my eyes. Unless he can prove it was done to him then he should get a lenient sentence but until then, fuck 'im. Snipes has never been anyone but a person who believes he's better than everybody else, which is what I've gleamed from interviews and meeting him on two occasions.
  7. Death Wish? <vomit sound> That's one of my favorite movies and Stallone has none of the qualities that Bronson did that made that film a masterpiece. Another Rambo film I can see.
  8. Correction. As a member of Dread Media Productions, you are now inclined to vote along party lines. Consider yourself excited for Midnight Meat Train.
  9. A. A level of geekhood I never thought I'd live to see has been achieved. I love it! I can punch a hole in a cheesecake...mmmm....cheesecake. B. Flash. Always has been as far as I'm concerned. Pre-Crisis, Barry beat him and there's no doubt Flash could leave Supes in the dust before Supes ever thought of taking off nowadays. C. I think Dick could take down Batman. For some reason. There's more than a dozen people who could stop him that are his friends. How about "Namtab, hcnup a eloh ni ruoy tsehc."?
  10. Meh.... No...I'm kidding. This looks so goddamn sweet!

No worries! Got that MS code?
  12. In no order: -Iron Man -Tropic Thunder (I love Downey Jr. enough as it is, but these look spectacular) -Dark Knight -Hancock -Incredible Hulk -The Happening (what a twist!) -Wanted -Hellboy 2 -Midnight Meat Train (not on the list but going to be better than all of those) Although I'll probably see no more than three of these in the theatre

Thanks Mal, Weed Species is a Cemetery Dance exclusive, so grab it through Horror Mall or sadly, miss out. It's grim but masterfully put together. Weeds is one of my all-time favorite tunes. I almost put the secret track acoustic version on but figured the book review needed a harder edged song.
  14. He wasn't getting made up like the Crow...he was getting made up like a Scorpion...like Sting from WCW! I used to work in a restaurant that shared a parking lot with a huge grocery store and a strip mall. I parked along the curb out of the way in a pretty central area. I got a ticket for parking in a fire lane. I called the lot manager and asked him what was up, he says, "yeah you're in a fire lane but he can't give you a ticket on my property." So I didn't pay it.
  15. BWA-hahahahahaha!!! My work here is done.
  16. I read the first Queen and Country and never really liked it. Not my bag, I guess... I read Walking Dead in trade form for the first four trades all at once. I moved to monthlies after that and I have felt the pain of waiting for the next issue. I never saw this online anywhere else but was anybody else completely let down by the last issue of Y the Last Man. The series has been maybe the best I've ever read (up there with Planetary, Watchmen, Sandman and Preacher, in my eyes) but that last issue was a complete stinker and a total copout in my mind.
  17. Russo did not do any writing on NoTLD 3D, he's listed there because elements of his original script were adapted. The novel he wrote is similar to RotLD only in name. Funnily enough, he novelized the movie that took the name from his novel. Weird... Dario Argento, producer on Dawn of the Dead, did re-cut the film and release it in Europe as Zombi and it was Lucio Fulci who directed Zombi 2 (known as "Zombie" in North America). If my avatar is any indication, I am discussing this film along with several others by my favourite Italian director in a coming episode.
  18. Nah...just kidding.

Nice. I expected him to be Mexican... Thanks Yoda!
  20. Nana Visitor is an interesting choice. 2 is the best film of the lot and I'm sad they won't go for the sack-headed Jason.
  21. As a very young boy, Erin Gray in spandex made me feel things I had only ever considered cootie-worthy beforehand. Mmmmmm....Erin Gray <going to NBC.com>
  22. A student just asked me why I shot coffee out of my nose...unfortunately, I'll never be able to tell them.
