  1. Not sure if Renee Russo looks good or bad for 56.... Hollywood women have destroyed my sense of normal.
  2. New International Trailer I know it looks the same, but the special effects seem smoother. Or is it just hi def?

Saw a redhead on the tram last night reading a comic on her iPad. Thought of you Mike straight away.
  4. I bought the directors cut on bluray the other day (it was only $12). And I gotta say, totally changed the film. Didn't make it Batman Begins/Spiderman II quality, but I thought it was a lot more enjoyable movie. The problem is it's still with FOX, so they'll want to make a PG Daredevil still.
  5. Looks pretty damn kick ass... Looks like it will be a fantastic year for comic book movies.
  6. Another great read, I had a laugh at your alphabetised shelf comment, hilarious. I display my books based on the colour of the spines, how would you handle that
  7. And a touch/iPhone is too bulky to strap on your arm, etc for exercise. That's why I still use my nano, even though I have an iPhone. It's perfect for the gym and going for a run.
  8. Oz Biggest Phone Companies 'How to Guide' for tethering Oz 3rd Biggest companies 'How to Guide' for tethering (who I'm with) Why hasn't it been support in the US. As in what's the reason given by Apple or the phone companies? I understand the OS needs disk space, but Windows doesn't ask for 100% of my computers HDD and then dictates how I add files to it. Why not, when I first plug the phone in to the computer, doesn't itunes ask me if I want to segment a portion of the storage as a USB drive. Android handles the option, so why can't the iPhone. It's the one fits everyone approach that annoys me. Like I said a few days ago, with computers, faster, smaller (physical size), bigger (storage) aren't company specific, it's industry standard. Wish I could find the article, but I read an excellent OpEd about the benefits of both systems, open architecture vs closed architecture. Made a lot of valid points for both.
  9. Of course it's a supported feature, it's an 'enable' option in the network settings. I'm in Australia, tethering has been officially supported by both Apple and our main 3 phone carriers since the end of 2009 I think. And it's still supported on the iPhone 4, it's not for the 3GS with the latest iOS. But they don't give you a warning like "upgrading to the latest OS on your device will disable some features" do they. Doug I agree they sparked the smart phone craze, realising that making calls isn't that important, having a portable web browser of much much more importance to the users. I don't think they've done anything special with regards to the phone to computer experience. If anything their features have gotten worse since the iPhone introduction. I used to be able to use my iPod as a USB drive, I can't do that with my iPhone (unless jailbroken), as just 1 example. You could be right, in that the experience is better with a Mac OS and not a Windows one.

Yeah I saw that a couple of weeks ago. Hilarious. Steve Martin's current one cracks me up as well. http://twitter.com/account/profile_image/SteveMartinToGo I'm actually enjoying all these old school people on twitter. I have no idea why they are on it though.
  11. Apple can go fuck themselves. I can't wait to rid myself of every iteration of their existence from my IT life. My business partner upgraded his phone iOS to the latest, only for that new OS to disable internet tethering on his 3GS. No warning this would happen, no reason, nothing. I get it, as a business they have developed a culture of lemmings based consumers who just assume that everything Apple does is automatically the best way to do things. But to anyone who actually likes to think for themselves, the whole Apple experience is just one massive head fuck.

The History of Science Fiction Warning, very large image, but pretty interesting.
  14. Only Part 1 is showing up under Articles on the main site. Is this just my browser or everyones?
  15. Hahaha, that's fantastic! Is there a work experience kid at the studio?
  16. Damn you, I'm getting all nostalgic reading these. Agree that Disney had some super fun games back in the day. Looking forward to reading about more time travelling games, there is one in particular I'm interested to see if it made the cut.

    Gotta love the Busey
  18. I had about 16gig left on the phone and only 5gig of music on my PC that wasn't on the phone, so there should have been room. Thanks for the tips though guys, I think KW is right and it's a glitch.
  19. What's interesting is that they aren't using the disrupting production option and using some morales clause. Does their contract not include a disruption to production clause in it? If not, why?
  20. They ask you weather or not you want to transfer purchases, you probably clicked no. And if you clicked yes, they are most likely not selected to be synced. They are all showing up in itunes, but they were removed from my iphone. If they were on my phone, and are now showing up in itunes, what crazy world would a developer think that means I want a piece of software to delete them off my phone? It's the whole "synch" philosophy that pisses me off.
  21. Sorry to hear Doug, that sucks. As a kid from a split home and having friends with kids who have recently split, my only piece of advise is this. Parents are human too, they make mistakes like everyone else, it's nothing personal and there is definitely nothing you could have done wrong. Don't blame yourself for even a millisecond.
  22. Fuck Apple. I can't wait to switch phones. I updated itunes on my system, plug in my iphone and it deletes a whole heaps of podcasts off my phone, that I had downloaded on my phone. Not paid ones, free podcasts. Why the fuck does it think it's "helping" me out by removing them. I'm sick to fucking death of how Apple keeps trying to "help" me, which is just control.
  23. Maybe it will make it bearable Because post production 3D always looks great!
