On a seperate note, after placing my order for DCBS this month I have to say I really admire Mike's ability to restrain himself when ordering lol.

Why should he take a backseat, and why should Tim be Batman ? If this was back a few years ago, I could possibly understand why you would want him out of the picture because he had become such an unlikeable character but that's not the case anymore. I also find it funny that by your logic, the only way you can tell an intresting story is to kill a character which sounds more like the "Judd Winick school of writing" than an intresting story to me.

I was kind of suprised that you guys didn't atleast give issue #23 a good review. Granted i didn't read the issue myself since i stopped reading Countdown somewhere in the #40's but it just seems like everyone was raving about that issue and i've even heard from people who have hated the series all the way through that issue #23 was really good. So i was kind of suprised that you guys just glossed it over like it was any other crappy issue, but it's possible that it was just like any other crappy issue since i didn't read it in the first place. And I have to say I am shocked and appalled at Mike's comments about killing off Bruce Wayne. You sir just do not get the character of Batman whatsoever.

the only one that i could possibly accept as a better movie is X-2 and maybe Stardust but calling that a comic book movie is stretching it quite a bit.

The fact that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gets a 6.5/10 is complete and utter bullshit. It's better than every single movie on that list.

Personally if it is really her, i am happy to have her back. Now i am of the mind that death and resurrection are completly overused in mainstream comics and i am quite sick of it being used as a plot device over and over again but in this particular case i am willing to make an exception. The way that they killed Spoiler off was complete bullshit and completly unneccessary and to this day still bothers me on several different levels but having her back in the bat books again would be somewhat of a validation to me that DC and the bat editorial at the time realized they made a big mistake. As a huge Robin fan i also noticed in that image posted above that both King Snake and The Trigger Twins look to be making an appearance as well. Chuck Dixon's return to the title is looking better and better.

Batman: Death and the City is awesome. It has the Dini Scarface and Harley issues, and the great Zatanna two-parter so you will not be dissapointed. Also, one of the fill-in issues features your favorite gang of villians The Terrible Trio lol. I've never read Superman: For Tomorrow but from what i have seen of it, it looks like an intresting read to say the least.

Knightfall was good but it just overstayed it's welcome. Had it been more condensed with a far more clearer focus and a couple less cooks in the kitchen it really good of been something great. But with all that said it is still heads and shoulders above the other Bat crossovers like No Man's Land and War Games.

Mike, I am glad to see you are getting Nightwing again! I was loving Marv's run and was really mad that they just kind of kicked him off the book but Peter Tomasi's run is looking to be pretty good as well.

i wasn't even meaning exclusive deals i was just saying i don't think he wants to be bothered with them period. Ed Brubaker did mention that he wanted Greg to maybe co-write an arc of Daredevil with him though so who knows.

I think Rucka is kind of done with the Big 2 for now so i don't see him jumping over to Marvel right away. He is probably more intrested in focusing on his independent projects and novels which i think is a good decision considering i don't think much of his mainstream comic work is all that good with the exception of 52 and Gotham Central.

Infinite Crisis is garbage and was just a poorly conceived repackaging of the original Crisis. Don't let that stop you from reading 52 though. 52 is an incredible read but maybe not something you want to jump into right away.

Identity Crisis is one of the worst stories in the last decade and Brad Meltzer shouldn't be allowed to write comics anymore. Arkham Asylum on the other hand is one of my personal favorites stories and Grant Morrison is one of the best absolute writers in comics.

Even though this isn't quite Countdown related but since you guys bought up Bill Willingham i figured i would throw in my opinion. Personally i think Fables is consistently excellent and that this is where Bill Willingham excels as a writer but i think he just dosen't quite work when it comes to the mainstream superhero stuff. His run on Robin started out pretty good in Unmasked but it kind of just went downhill from there and took Tim in directions that i don't think he should have gone in (not to mention he was one of the writers on War Games and that is unforgivable). Shadowpact falls somewhere in the middle of the two so i wound up enjoying that (I am guessing the copy i have was once Mike's copy now that i think about it lol). So yea i think Bill Willingham is a good writer but only on certain books.

Just to correct what i think Mike meant to say in the episode, Under The Hood is one of the worst Batman stories ever. Now that i got that out of the way onto the episodes. I pretty much agreed with everything that you guys said about the first few episodes but highly disagree with your views on "Avatar" and "House and Garden". "Avatar" while not being one of my favorite episodes i thought was highly enjoyable on an adventure serial kind of way like Mr. Mxyzptlk mentioned. "House and Garden" is actually one of my favorite episodes though and i have to say i was shocked when you guys ripped it apart like you did. And seeing how James mentioned "Critters" as a bad episode i can see that me disagreeing with you guys is going to probably become the norm from now on lol As a little fun fact the girl that Dick is trying to hook up with in his dorm is voiced by Megan Mullally. I thought that was kind of funny. Also since you guys mentioned Jason Hillhouse, he was friends with all of the DCAU guys because they use to frequent a comic shop he worked at which was near Warner Bros studio and eventually went on to work for New Wave Entertainment and one of his first accounts with the company was Warner Home Video and the DCAU DVD sets. So he basically puts together all those special features for the discs and since he is such a big fan and friend of the shows he sits in on a lot of the commentaries and interview discussions. He also put together the Batman documentary for the Batman (1989) SE DVD (which is actually quite good) as well as some of the documentaries for the Batman Begins SE DVD. You can also catch him voicing Robin in a deleted scene from Batman (1989) along with Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammill. There is an interview with him at World's Finest Online

So is Tommy Lee Jones It at least appears that whoever interviewed him had the balls to inform him of the different continuity. Jack may take his wronged feelings to the grave! you could read it as him not knowing that the movies are in different continuity but you could also read it as him being upset that they didn't have him as a consultant to Heath on the Joker role for the new movie and also that he is upset that in the old continuity they never did a sequel with him as the Joker (which actually raises even more questions because if he had seen the movie that he starred in he would know the character died at the end.....but i guess that's a different can of worms altogether). I will say though either way the man has a bigger ego than i originally thought.
