  1. I'm not really into fansubs, so I haven't seen it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it coming out in the States. However, I have read a huge chunk of the manga, and it is godly.
  2. No particular order: RahXephon Cowboy Bebop Grave of the Fireflies Spirited Away Neon Genesis Evangelion Dragon Ball Z Sailor Moon Paranoia Agent Serial Experiments Lain Fruits Basket
  3. Who I'd Want to Be: Spike Speigal, definitely. I'd have the time of my life flying around the universe catching bounties. Sure, he gets the crap beaten out of him a lot, but you take the bad with the good. The exciting life would be worth it. Who I'd Probably Be: Someone like Shin from Cowboy Bebop... pop in for an episode or two, kick a little ass, then get killed or just disappear, never to be heard from again. That wouldn't be so bad, actually.
  4. What's the title of that one? It does sound pretty interesting, and I'd like to keep an eye out for it. Ha, you don't get stuff like that at Anime Expo. If we did, I probably would have watched it for the sheer bizarreness of it. Still, there was plenty of amusement to be found by scouring the hentai DVDs in the dealer's room. The sheer hilarity of some of those covers was glorious, really. Hentai is just something else, haha.

    Wii news

Wii comes out on my birthday - nice and convenient. November can't come soon enough.
  6. I hope I live to see the day when we're all hovering around like Marty McFly.
  7. I finally saw Advent Children just now, and I liked it just fine. The plot is just there, for me... it isn't bad, but it felt a bit rushed and I never got into it too much. However, I can't deny that the visuals are astounding, and the fights are just incredible to watch. I enjoyed the touches of humor, as well. Loz's cell phone playing the FF "Victory Fanfare" theme during his fight with Tifa got a nice laugh from me (Loz is great in general, actually; he's the only "remnant" I liked). Reno and Rude were also hilarious in this. The look of anguish on Rude's face when Reno accidentally stepped on his sunglasses while they were battling Loz and Yazoo cracked me up. Seeing all of the characters pop up and kick some ass is fun, though I agree with James that more of Vincent would have been nice. I was hoping for a good, profanity-laced tirade from Cid too. Maybe next time. Anyway, AC met my expectations pretty easily - I expected a fun add-on to FFVII rather than something that would stand up to the epic story that FFVII offered, so it didn't disappoint me at all.
  8. I've been registered here a while, but I didn't start posting until maybe a couple of months before the podcasts started.

    PS3 news

PS3 to launch November 17th, 2006--$499 for 20GB, $599 for 60GB Thoughts? (Note: It says in the headline that the 60GB version will retail for $599, but in the article itself it says $549; however, I'm assuming that it's just an error.)
  10. Wow, that's pretty cool. I barely read Watchmen for the first time about a month and a half ago, actually (I'm a late adopter, to say the least...), so this'll be nice to spot a few things I probably missed.
  11. FFV Advance FFVI Advance They're way ahead of you, buddy.
  12. Hey, someone else who has experienced the magic of Polarium. :urock: Here's my list without the GBA games, as, like Yoda's collection, they are all over the place: DS Advance Wars DS Animal Crossing DS Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day Mario Kart DS New Super Mario Bros. 13. Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop.
  14. Besides Shinichiro Watanabe, I'd go Yutaka Izubuchi (RahXephon) and Isao Takahata (Grave of the Fireflies).
  15. Oh, I agree, and I hope I didn't come off as a prude. It's just that, after all these years of having PG-13 around, it's shocking to hear "shit" and "dick" and see all of the sexual innuendo in a PG film. Even if it was produced before the creation of the rating. I don't think that you come off as a prude. I actually thought the same thing when I first saw Airplane!, haha.
  16. Didn't you guys ever play The Lost Levels? There could have been poison mushrooms in those boxes for all we know.

    Wii news

I hope that Saturn games will eventually be thrown into the plans as well. It would be nice to not have to sell my soul to be able to play Panzer Dragoon Saga.
  18. More people seeing this series makes me happy. However, I am quite jealous of the great deal that you got, James.
  19. Psycho's definitely up there, and I was probably one of the very few people to not have known beforehand that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father when the original Star Wars trilogy was re-released into theaters. Seeing The Empire Strikes for the very first time with a bunch of screaming fans is still my greatest theater experience.
  20. Boy, I haven't been here for a while... Western: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Comedy: Dr. Strangelove Drama: Mulholland Dr. Horror: The Thing Action: Dirty Harry Musical: The Blues Brothers Fantasy: The Princess Bride Sci-Fi: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Romance: Amelie Family: Who Framed Roger Rabbit Animation: Grave of the Fireflies Comic Book Adaptation: Sin City Novel Adaptation: Psycho
  21. I'm having a hard time choosing between Wembley and Boober... I think I'll go with Wembley though. He always made me laugh.
  22. Friend Code: 4810-9724-1735 I've got peaches growing in my town, and lots of them. My AIM name is Shinmaru007 in case you catch me online. I'll likely be on there at the same time I'm playing Animal Crossing.
  23. Of the ones I've played, Superman 64... but the right answer is probably E.T. The stories of its hideousness are legendary.
