  1. Non-E-2: I like to keep to the same "groups" of podcasts, almost all from IGN.com. Gamescoop Podcast Beyond IGN Comics SMASH Three Red Lights Podcast Channel Surfing Keepin' it Reel non-IGN: The Force-Cast.
  2. Are there any other examples besides the one shirt in that article? I can't imagine that they're ALL about how awesome the male characters are. (though, to be fair, the masses don't yet know about Black Widow or any of the other female Marvel characters, so maybe they're not yet marketable?) DC comics has had TONS of "classy" female t-shirts for many years.
  3. He's actually the new Sabretooth.
  4. That STILL boggles me! Jonathan Frakes did an unbelievably good job on Star Trek: First Contact. I guess drama directing is a bit different than kid-directing,
  5. Yes. And then Miley Cyrus, now out for revenge, undergoes Weapon X treatment and becomes Lady Deathstryke.
  6. New clip: http://movies.ign.com/dor/objects/34461/x-...lip_042309.html I'm not too thrilled with will.i.am's performance, but it's not bad. The scene certainly seemed well-done. No signs of X3 style at all.
  7. Spy Kids 3 was basically the Jetsons anyway. Rodriguez can nail the family theme extremely well, and he looooooves his CG cartoonish visual effects crap. (Spy Kids 1 was actually pretty good, though, so maybe this will be, too.)
  8. See, it's actually a Jetsons vs Predator movie. In this new re-imagining, Judy Jetson is a gun-toting space warrior, and their dog, Astro, is a "tame" Alien who performs Scooby Doo-like antics.
  9. Ooooo.... who's the fanboy now? I agree with Preston about No More Heroes and Madworld, though you have to be in a place where no mothers or other discerning figures will be nearby.
  10. Ah. Well, for the Wii, it's definitely a matter of preference. However, the tops would be: Zelda: Twilight Princess Super Mario Galaxy Metroid Prime 3 Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wii Sports 360: Rock Band Halo 3 Call of Duty 4 The Orange Box PS3: Rock Band Killzone 2 Call of Duty 4 LittleBigPlanet Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
  11. Um... can you be a little more specific in what you're asking? Do you mean games-wise, feature-wise, or everything?
  12. She was an actress before Spider-man, as well as during the films' era. She may not get Julia Roberts-level money, but she can certainly stay afloat, even if only on indie films. (however, if her career *did* die, I'd not be unhappy. )
  13. That's a very valid point. At the same time, however, I'm ready for the Raimi-era films to end, as they're essentially stopping adaptations of Spidey's modern stories from being told. The Raimi Spidey doesn't have the incredible humor or sharpness of modern Peter Parker; instead we have the cow-like Tobey Maguire doing his best to be the most pathetic and constantly stupified Peter Parker in history. True, Tobey brings a good bit of emotional depth to the story, but he also makes Peter seem less and less smart in each film. That's at least half the fault of the script he's been given, but still. I long for a clever, quippy film, much like Iron Man. If Spider-man 4 (or 5) can give me that, then cool. Otherwise, I'd rather that they just pull an Incredible maneuver () and rehash the entire current continuity. Also, I dislike the way that the films portray MJ as "the only one for Peter." The Gwen/MJ/Betty/whoever-else uncertainty conflict is one of my favorite parts of the Spider-man story.
  14. I concur. I like her, but MJ she is not. Ironically, I think that Bryce Dallas Howard's somewhat bubbly and sensual portrayal of Gwen Stacy would have been great for MJ. (and she's an actual redhead!)
  15. From what I've heard, that's almost a sure thing, and he'll have gone through some major development since the first tale.
  16. Kirsten Dunst HATED working on the last three films. (and she was one of the more annoying parts of them)
  17. Well sure, but I would still love to see more of the witty dialogue and character development.
  18. Whedon's works are remarkable in the way they I don't think I agree with that. I'd say that it's a wittily-written musical that takes a Shakesperean turn at the end. It only became a Shakesperean tragedy in the last act; most of it was just hilarious musical dialogue about a somewhat relatable protagoninst. I would LOVE to see what happens to the characters from here. Does Billy want to stay an evil villain, or will his caring nature win out? Does Captain Hammer become humbled and truly good, or take a darker path? Does Penny return in any sense? Will Moist ever become useful?!?
  19. It is cool to see how the Cylons were created though. Also, all the nudity in it was unexpected. The Cylons in BSG were also monotheistic (and nearly quoted the Bible), but at least they were also shown to be not exactly correct or incorrect about everything. Yeah, I think sometimes RDM and the BSG/Caprica writing crew just like to make waves for the sake of making waves.
  20. I keep a microbiologist, a mathematician, and two engineers (all with masters' degrees) nearby for just that occasion.
  21. S'cool. She's not entirely a normal female either. If nothing else, I can at least add your suggestions to my list of things to do when the Machines rise. The electromagnet thing sounds clever...
  22. Hmm. Cool. Going with a little bit of a Sarah Connor approach, I see.
  23. Weren't Spike and Sparkplug just nicknames anyway? Actually, the nickname Spike was supposed to be used in the first film but the writers said it was just forced and didn't make sense.
