  1. Ohhhh, forgot about that one. I concur.
  2. Thanks; that helps. Mmkay. Suppose that you get to a safe place where he can't hurt you, and you're calming down. Then what?
  3. I don't care what anyone says; these Transformers films are fun. Say what you will about the plot and dialogue; they're still great summer blockbuster films. That shot of Optimus and Megatron flying through the office building in the first film has yet to be topped by *any* movie, period.
  4. I loved that movie the first time I saw it. It was the second and third times that sunk it for me, but now I'm starting to like it again. Weird.
  5. I'll go with Slothian on this one, too: Enchanted. Apparently since I was raised on the Disney films, princess stories don't trigger my masculine revulsion reflex. Though it's not obvious at first, it's a huge tribute to (and self-referential parody of) the films from the "Disney Renaissance" of the 1989-1994 period, with tons of in-jokes and references. Also, it's nice for me because I always enjoy stories that deal with examining art and life mixing. But my number one, all time favorite "bad movie:" Speed Racer. However, I would argue that it is in fact a brilliant film that only a very select few will understand, as it's directed at a very select audience that can enjoy the combination of blazingly fast video game visuals and animation-inspired direction. It's like the equivalent of a live-action Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but with Speed Racer.
  6. Okay, so, going with option A, what other specific thoughts would be running through your head?
  7. Batman. Punching. Stuff. That's all you need, really.
  8. So I'm working on a particular writing project, but I've come across the brick wall that all male sci-fi writers inevitably come to: I cannot write realistic female characters. So, for all the female forumites out there (as well as any males who would kindly ask their girlfriends for me), I pose this question: What would you do if your boyfriend turned out to be a Terminator-style robot who suddenly decided to kill you?
  9. I did some research, and originally Dominic Monaghan was supposed to play Beak without the makeup (at first, anyway), but then they changed his character to Bolt instead.
  10. That's the thing; he was supposed to be in the film and not have one. In earlier versions of the script he was just like in the comics, beak and all. Hmm. I must have been reading reports of a later script, then. Or it might have been that he only got the beak later in the film.
  11. That's the thing; he was supposed to be in the film and not have one.
  12. Nah, that's Beak, I believe. EDIT: I was wrong. That is Maverick.
  13. Hugh Jackman is my new favorite person.
  14. I think they MIGHT be able to bring in Dick Grayson without making him Robin. It likely wouldn't work for the next film, but maybe "Batman 4"? The death of the Graysons and the adoption of Dick by Bruce is something that could work in a realistic setting; they just couldn't have him put on the costume. Maybe Bruce starts grooming him as a future Batman, leading to all kinds of problems?
  15. I have counter-points for each of your arguments, but this isn't the thread to start a debate in. (But for clarification's sake, I am not a fanboy; I legitimately think that Microsoft is hurting the consumer with its practices). So... agree to disagree?
  16. I might agree on Versus, but I'm not getting XIII on the 360 even though I own a 360; I don't want to support Final Fantasy XIII on anything other than the PS3, the console it was made for. Now that I've had my 360 for over a year (and the PS3 is a great console now) I kind of hate the Xbox brand entirely. My 360 has already broken once, and there are ads on the main menu. Furthermore, studies have shown that Microsoft KNEW that every 360 would break within a few years for one reason or another, but chose to push out their system anyway. I want the entire Xbox line of consoles to die, and until the FF13 360 announcement, Final Fantasy was the best chance of that happening. Gah.
  17. Oooo.... I love the new battle music.
  18. I have the 8GB iPhone, and its small storage space is getting really annoying. However, the Classic iPods are kind of outdated now, being so clunky and all. Personally, I'd go with the 16GB Nano for $199. That way you get "enough" storage space, and the best mobility (shuffle aside). But hey, if the Classic's size doesn't bother you, then go for it. At that price, it's a great deal. Just be ready to buy a new one in a couple years when the motor for the internal hard drive screws up.
  19. Haha, you're very welcome. If you ever need any more opening crawls for future Star Wars spoofs, lemme know. By the way, that was the LONGEST opening crawl sequence I've ever read. The Star Wars theme music almost ran out before the text was done. lol.
  20. After hearing James's Star Wars-style intro for "Sentries of the Last Cosmos," I couldn't resist: (be sure to click the HQ button!) EDIT: There seems to be an error where if you click the HQ button, you have to start the video over again to get sound. Weird.
  21. That is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. I mean, even with all the popularity and support that Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog got (including soundtrack and DVD sales), they just barely broke even, and a lot of the cast worked on it for free. In order for online distribution to work, it has to have an already-installed support base that's bigger than anything Joss Whedon has. George Lucas aside, I don't think anyone else has that kind of power. TV airing is still the way to go at this point, since it can generate huge profits. At the very least, we're still getting a lot of these shows online as well as on TV, right? So we're getting the best of both worlds at this point.
  22. Ehh... I don't know about this idea. If I were an amputee, I think I'd rather be in a wheelchair until technology allows for actual robotic leg replacements. (which isn't that far off.)
