And I thank you, my good man, for coming up with such a fucking awesome idea. Grilled Bacon and Smoked Provolone. Mmmmm.

That's who I thought it looked like. Nice.
  3. Curtis was the brains behind Four Weddings and a Funeral, which became the highest-grossing British film in cinema history at the time and for which he was Oscar nominated. On television, he has been responsible for the Blackadder series as well as The Vicar of Dibley. He is a BAFTA and Primetime Emmy winner. BBC News has confirmed, via Curtis's agent, that the writer is working on a script for Doctor Who. Is it just me or is the Sun getting rather lazy.

Looking at two of the contestants for this season of The Amazing Race's picture, I thought they were either brother or both gay. Was not expecting to be right on both counts.
  5. Listening to the podcast, I actually get all the Disney owned Channels and I can see programs getting produced on all of them. Examples of potential Marvel programs: Disney Channel: Franklin Richards, the adventures of a young Franklin, growing up with Super Parents. Based off the Franklin Richards comic book. Or, as people have said before, something is also to be said for a Scottie Young produced Wizard of Oz animated series. Disney XD: Spectacular Spiderman is already airing here but maybe a Thor or a new Fantastic Four program as well. ABC Family: New Mutants: A teenage coming of age drama about the next generation of X-Men at the Xavier Institute. ABC: Lost is done after this season so maybe utilize either a Dr. Strange hour long drama, dust off that Alias pilot from a few years back, or even a Heroes For Hire film. In any case, Luke Cage could be used as a supporting or main character. Same for Jessica Jones. Lifetime: Single Green Female Lawyer. You don't even need to call it She-Hulk. Basically, Jennifer Walters as a female Lawyer who used to do the super-heroics. Either that or a Ms. Marvel live-action show or use some of Marvel's model characters from the fifties. ESPN: Promotional material. Pure and simple.
  6. Nostalgia Critic, Linkara, and The Spoony One: Alone in the Dark.

They did. Correction, I moved in a week before the majority of the other Freshmen.

True that. My freshman roommate was a sophomore so I was never quite all Freshmanny. Then again, I read college prep book most of my senior year of High School and moved on campus a week prior to the beginning of classes so as to get the lay of the land. Could have been worse. Could have a demon for a roommate who wanted to eat my soul. Mine just made me an uber-geek.

I don't much care for Freshmen. Everyone, take Will's advice and take enough AP classes in High School that you can skip your Freshmen year of college.
  10. Have a ten hour work day today. Would be fine except dear god am I going to be busy also. First day of Fall Quarter is not a good time to be working in the bookstore.
  11. Krypto wasn't in continuity either.
  12. Well, the cloud effects for starters. Also, if you're known as He Who Walks Behind The Rows, why do you burrow and attack people with steam?

Probably a good thing. Smoking is a bad habit unlike drinking vast amounts of alcohol. Mmmmmm, vast amounts of alcohol.
  15. That is possibly one of the most adorable things I have ever seen.

Wooooo! I'm just a geek... never thought I would say that.
  17. Just bought Funimation's box set of Slayers which has the first three series. Still one of my favorite animes.
  18. One of my best friends is an alcoholic, let's call him Tony. I have let myself be talked out of this assertion on multiple occasions but he cemented it for me today. We were supposed to go to our comic book store's anniversary sale today. We were originally going to go yesterday but he decided to go to Columbus and watch football and drink instead. I decided to shrug it off since I worked until six last night and would have been rushing to get there and had no time to look. So, he says he'll be back around eleven or so this morning. It's about 2pm when I get a hold of him and Tony pretty much tells me he's in no condition to drive the hour back to Dayton. So, now I have no way of getting to get comics. I'm happy he at least has enough judgment to kill himself by driving impaired but I'm angry he doesn't have enough to realize he made a commitment and chose alcohol over a promise. I shouldn't get this worked up over it but I am and I don't know why. Fucking Tony Stark.
  19. Accidentally got drunk last night/right now and fell asleep at one point in one of my (straight) friends beds. May have accidentally touched places in my sleep. Still kind of drunk, tired, and need to be at work at 10 for 8 hours. Shit. Even when I'm tipsy, I somehow try to spell check. A Plus.

    Secret Six

My comic shop is having their anniversary sale this weekend so my plan is to get caught up with Six and add it to my pull list. I feel ashamed for not doing so sooner.

It was drawn by David Willis who does the webcomic Shortpacked. Basically, Simone asked on her Twitter for a background and she liked his.
  22. Wow, that's sad. Also, the link is broken. Here's a fixed version.
