JackFetch
I'm interested. I just wish it was on a cable network instead of NBC.
JasonC
Well, at least he's from the UK.
Davedevil
I'm interested. I just wish it was on a cable network instead of NBC. Considering what they've been able to do on Hannibal though, I don't think there'll be a problem as far as content. Now if they'll only read the right material, i.e. the classic Hellblazer and not the New 52 Constantine.
JasonC
If they do Classic, he'll need the right accent...
JackFetch
Deadline reports that three more have joined the cast of NBC's "Constantine" pilot including Lucy Griffiths ("True Blood"), Harold Perrineau ("LOST") and Charles Halford ("True Detective"). Griffiths will play the role of Liv, the daughter of a former friend of Constantine's who is targeted by demons. Her character is described as "an offbeat young woman tired of her ordinary life who comes to discover that she has the ability of seeing the supernatural world among us, which makes her a key player in the battle between good and evil." Perrineau will play the role of Manny, Constantine's literal guardian angel with the ability to step into other people's bodies, a similar ability to that of DC's Deadman, while Halford will take on the role of Chas, who is described as Constantine's "oldest friend and staunch companion." Set to star Matt Ryan as the titular character, "Constantine" is written by David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, Man of Steel) and Daniel Cerone ("The Mentalist"). NBC has officially ordered a pilot for "Constantine," which will be helmed by The Descent's Neil Marshall, and is expected to begin production in Atlanta, GA soon. JasonC
I'm sceptical but I will wait to see it before I pass judgement. DC have been getting their TV shows right recently.

JasonC
1) Right Accent! 2) Seemingly the right attitude. 3) Right Accent! 4) No Silk Cut. I'm in. I'm so far in I can't see daylight. I'm probably setting myself up for a crushing disappointment but what the hell...
Flashfan1
Wow. I've never really been in to Constantine, I've never read anything with him in it... but that looks awesome!

Dread
Looks good to me. I was going to give it an episode, but I'll give it two if Dickie Bennett's in it!

JasonC
A Torrent of the pilot has shown up on the web and I watched it. Yes, the helmet of Fate makes an appearance. Overall.... I wasn't very impressed. I'll give it a couple of episodes to see if there's an improvement. The good news: It's definitely John Constantine, not some bloke just using the name like the movie. JackFetch
I heard it's pretty bad. I'll give it a try.
