You Know Who Posted March 16, 2018 Report Posted March 16, 2018 Danny Boyle is scripting and possibly directing Bond 25. Quote
Missy Posted May 29, 2018 Report Posted May 29, 2018 Confirmed. Boyle is directing Bond 25, based on a John Hodge (Trainspotting) script. Quote
Missy Posted August 21, 2018 Report Posted August 21, 2018 The official 007 Twitter account just announced that Danny Boyle is out due to "creative differences." Quote
dc20willsave Posted August 21, 2018 Report Posted August 21, 2018 I'm not totally surprised here. Kinda wondering if John Hodge's script will still be used. Quote
Donomark Posted August 22, 2018 Report Posted August 22, 2018 Adham went ham on FB about it lol Quote

Missy Posted September 20, 2018 Report Posted September 20, 2018 Cary Joji Fukunaga is in as director. Quote
teenalphabro Posted September 20, 2018 Report Posted September 20, 2018 Alright, now I'm interested. Quote
slothian Posted September 23, 2018 Report Posted September 23, 2018 I'm not saying that I'm *not* interested, but how do you have creative difference with the guy who directed the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony - FEATURING Daniel Craig as Bond - and replace him with Purvis & Wade (GRRR-HRR-HRRR-RRRR) and the guy who directed a Netflix show by saying "Remember, you're Jonah Hill and Emma Stone - and SCENE!" This has "missed opportunity" written all over it. Quote

I will say that's not fair. Maniac may be his most recent thing but both Jane Eyre and Beasts of No Nations were very well directed films. Also, he did some great work on the first season of True Detective. Quote

I'm regularly unfair. Also, I will concede that I am basing that description of Maniac on what the director himself told the BBC website, and have not seen the actual show. But I maintain that we're missing out not having a Bond film with Danny Boyle's stamp on it. Quote

I’ve only seen two Danny Boyle films, both of which involved major poop scenes played for laughs, so I’m not too bothered. I’m gonna finish Beasts of No Nation and at least try Maniac. I didn’t care for Jane Eyre but that was because it was Jane Eyre. Quote

Could you extrapolate? I'm not saying Boyle is a flawless director (I fucking hate The Beach, which stars your favourite guy Leonardo DiCaprio) but poo scenes played for laughs......? Quote
You Know Who Posted September 23, 2018 Author Report Posted September 23, 2018 They were Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire. I actually liked the former. He also directed a bunch of Morse episodes and I love that show. Quote
You Know Who Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 And the film shall be called... Quote
You Know Who Posted March 3, 2019 Author Report Posted March 3, 2019 Rami Malek has signed on to be the villain. This is a good thing as long as it’s not a stereotypical Middle Eastern bad guy and he has good material to work with, neither of which is guaranteed. Quote
Donomark Posted December 5, 2019 Report Posted December 5, 2019 35 seconds in and I thought of Adham Fisher. I'm liking the insistence that the Craig era isn't just an anthology of done-in-one Bond stories, but an evolving, sequential story about one guy. Especially with this being the final Craig film, it's that which has got me most interested as opposed to anything in the trailer, really. But the masked villain looked really cool. Quote
dc20willsave Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 I really like it. Maybe it's all the Mass Effect I've been playing speaking but it sounds suitably epic and like a Bond theme. Also, it has the added benefit of not inducing a coma like Spectre's theme did. Quote
Missy Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Ooh. I can hear the modern Bond-izms (RE: Casino Royale), but with a different twist. It sounds like a Millennial James Bond lamenting a lost love. In Billie Eilish I can kind of hear hints of "Black Sheep" from the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack. Quote
batguy10 Posted March 5, 2020 Report Posted March 5, 2020 'No Time To Die' release delayed from April to November Oof. Quote
dc20willsave Posted March 5, 2020 Report Posted March 5, 2020 It's some good reasoning honestly: Most people are anxious about Coronavirus and only thing coming out on the new weekend that would fall into a similar demographic is a new Disney Animated film. Quote
