Missy
A 5.8 earthquake has hit Virginia, and reports are coming in that it's been felt all the way into New York. If it's going that far north, that means it could conceivably have made it all the way to Ohio, Tennessee, and the Carolinas. Is everyone around those parts safe? Dread
I've heard Colorado, Pittsburgh and DC as well. They evacuated the Pentagon. If the Pentagon is that rickety a 5.8 could cause its evacuation, you guys are hooped if anybody actually invades. Dubs is at work, and Koete is posting on Twitter. Koete
The house shook, nerves are slightly rattled, but other than that it seems fine here.
Dan
We even had some tremors up here. Nothing to be worried about, but damn, it must have been really something at the center.
JackFetch
They've evacuated the White House, and the air traffic control towers in DC. It's been upgraded to 5.9.
Venneh
Cause DC was built in a swamp, lest we forget. Also, apparently the Washington monument may be tilting now.
Kscriv
Was actually on a call with a lady in Virginia when it hit. Was kind of scary hearing their reactions until it settled down and everyone was alright. Even approved the ladies loan.
JackFetch
According to the Washington Business Journal, the National Cathedral spokesman has confirmed that the historic building in Washington, D.C., has sustained damage. "At least three pinnacles on the central tower have broken off," the spokesman said.
Garfield
The east coast isn't exactly an active place for seismic activity, but there is the chance for earthquakes. Now we all know.
