Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon

Comic book editor Stephen Wacker has revealed this first look at the upcoming animated Ultimate Spider-Man series. The image depicts the premiere in a screen capture adaptation. Coming to "Marvel Universe" on Disney XD, the show's creative team includes Paul Dini, Brian Michael Bendis and Man of Action (Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle). "Ultimate Spider-Man" is scheduled to premiere on April 1st.

I think they've got Samuel L. Jackson down, but I'm not sure about Spider-Man's voice. Of course, I'll watch a full episode before passing judgement.

I know it is, but I was just rolling my eyes at that whole food fight clip. Come to think of it Spectacular is the last comic book television series that I really liked.

I know they didn't want to use Medusa, probably, but isn't Thundra a hero? I'm pretty sure she was an Avenger, even. Looks very solid, though.

Gosh darn it that looks fun. Probably because at it's best Ultimate Spider-man was an outrageously fun book.

So, this cartoon started at the weekend, and the internet....was very nice in sending me a copy of the first two episodes.

I gotta say, I'm not completely impressed. Portions were great and I love the references to the greater Marvel universe. However, the cutaway gags are more than a little grating and unnecessary. The second episode is much better than the first.

Really liking this series so far. The gags can get a bit much but I still like most of them,the animation is just gorgeous and the voice acting is decent.

I despise this show in its entirety and I want it to die. I actually think it might be the worst Spider-Man series ever made. Worse than Spider-Man Unlimited.

But honestly, it is kinda annoying. It has potential but it just isn't working for me.

It's only been four episodes, give it a chance to find its feet before you want to throw it in a fire. I feel the exact opposite, I'm really enjoying the show, it's not the greatest cartoon, or even spider-man cartoon ever, but I like it.

Honestly, I feel like it would need to completely reinvent itself for me to like it. So if it becomes an entirely different show, then yeah, I'll watch it again.

Yeah I think it's good enough. I mean it's no SSM but it's harmless. The worst thing I can really say about it is that so far it's made absolutely no impact on me one way or the other, ultimately it's completely forgettable. I really don't have the time to watch this show, and I really don't have any desire to after these first few episodes.

I haven't watched it, but from what I've heard it's trying to appeal to both kids and adults and ends up kind of disjointed.
