RSS
In what was originally planned to be a mini-breather episode before the pain of Transformers, James and Damien instead spend a full-length episode tackling Heroes of Wrestling, which is widely regarded as the worst wrestling pay-per-view of all time. Drunken promos, botched moves, old school rasslin' stalling; this show has it all. James D.
Looking forward to this. My main question is why would you consider doing this? Just listen to my final thoughts at the end and that'll give you a good idea. Plus...it's Heroes of Wrestling. It's synonymous in the wrestling industry with failure. Rjoyadet
I never watched wrestling but I found this episode fun to listen to. After getting help on understanding what a "babyface" and "heel" is I noticed a different genre of show that uses the same formula, court tv. Whenever I walk in on my aunt watching "Caso Cerrado" it takes me a second to figure out who is the face and heel. Usually its the lady who is the face, and the heel is a man who is dressed as a gangster. Once in a while, the woman is the heel and is dressed like a stripper or lady of the night. Usually, whoever has more tattoos is the heel. I have heard stories about underprivileged people making poor choices on what to wear at court, but you'd think they would give thought into it if appearing on television, which is most likely being watched by their grandmothers. I mentioned it at the dinner table once. My parents told me that people are just that dumb, but my brother in law told me that my theory makes more sense. Can you recommend any entertaining wrestling matches?
Guest
Two I'd recommend for someone new. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJkf4vVKOB0 Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio. Eddie plays a great cocky heel and Mysterio is the fighting babyface. They work at a fast enough pace to never feel boring. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7AjEAtmmzM Antonio Cesaro vs Sami Zayn. A very recent match that I could only find the highlights from, but also should give you a good idea if you want to dig further.

I do not know what a chromatic flugelhorn is, and I am reluctant to look it up. I am picturing a Frank Qutiely illustration of Willy Wonka driving an instrument, designed by Dr. Seuss, that changes the color of your clothes every time a new note is played. SteveJRogers
FWIW, Stan Lane was with the Midnights for their brief babyface turn and defeated Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson for the titles in Sep of 88 as the Horsemen were on their way out and WWF bound. Of course not that it was a long and memorable feud, but they did have a "past" of sorts.
