How the hell did they steal that from Sky and the others?

Given the fact that just about every American superhero shy of Captain America himself is played by a Brit these days, the internet can go to hell on that one. Chris Hemsworth is australian. Tom Hiddleston is english but he's Eeevil, so that doesn't count. Everyone else is american I thought.

Casablanca: - I have never seen this all the way through. I usually catch it on TV at varying points. Oh, I've probably seen the whole movie by this time, just not from beginning to end. Home Alone: One of three movies I have walked out of the cinema while watching. One of the others was Fatal Attraction (but I saw the rest of that one later). I can't remember the third.

Y'know what I realised? This is the Doctor that has the possibility of becoming the Valeyard when he regenerates. If Moffat really is using a lot from the Classic series, he should have the Valeyard show up a time or two during Twelve's run. Not necessarily to try and kill him, but to try to manipulate him down a darker road, have him make choices in how he deals with the bad guys that aren't as noble as usual. And therefore increase the chance of Twelve becoming The Valeyard. And not necessarily when he's awake. Pop up in his dreams as The Dream Lord and just talk at him. Now that would a lot of fun to watch...

I will admit to being surprised. I didn't think we'd ever get an older actor to play the Doctor. Never been more happy to be wrong. Peter Capaldi is a brilliant actor and a great choice! I am also assuming that we'll be getting a less manic Doctor this time around. After Tennant and Smith that will be nice...

Strangely, I am hoping they don't make a sequel. There is no way it could be better than the original, so it can only be worse.

I saw it. It's more character driven than anything. The Jean Grey scene(s) aren't flashbacks, they are sort of dream-like sequences. It was quite good.

Dan, I saw it in 3D and there was no problem whatsoever telling who was hitting - or throwing - who. Neither Jaeger or Kaiju were big dark things. Do yourself a favor and go and see this. If you haven't already.
