On topic:
Fantasia vs LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring
Being John Malkovich vs Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Wizard of Oz vs Fantasia
Aladdin vs The Great Mouse Detective
Fantasia for both (though not by much and bearing in mind I’m one of its biggest fans) and Aladdin probably just edges out The Great Mouse Detective for me on the strength of its musical numbers, although it’s a close-run thing as well as a favorite vs best situation for me.
Not seen Eternal Sunshine yet.

Memento and it's not even close.

And you can't really call her contribution to Hook to be much of anything.
I can attest to this fact. I rewatched Hook last year for @Donomark and I’s Peter Pan review and completely forgot she was in it.

Looking over her filmography, there’s a lot to choose from the mid-to-late 90s but not a lot post-Iron Man where isn’t playing either Pepper Potts or herself.
If you can’t double-dip between 1995 and 1999, then I’d suggest Emma (though there’s also Se7en, Sliding Doors, Alfonso Cuarón’s Great Expectations adaptation, Shakespeare In Love, and The Talented Mr. Ripley).
For post-Iron Man (and the year’s worst film covered nominee), maybe Mortdecai (though you could also save that for the downward spiral pick of a Johnny Depp-centric episode).
For the noughties, maybe Shallow Hal (which she’s described as a low point in her career) or The Royal Tenenbaums.

I think you, of all people, would know the extent to which Disney sanitises the source material of their animated film adaptations. Zeus raping everything in sight just wasn't going to fly....
Certain stories can have their rougher edges hewn off, have their endings changed, or even be completely rewritten and actually be better for it (see Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, and pretty much every Bond film based on one of Ian Fleming’s novels).
HOWEVER
SpoilerZeus’ infidelities — whether they’re presented as consensual affairs, seductions, assaults, or some combination of the three — are so much a part of Greek mythology that when you adapt Greek mythology without them, you’re not getting it right and it makes you question whether it’s a good idea to adapt the lore to begin with, let alone as a light-hearted Disney’s film. It’d be like making a Robin Hood film without him stealing from the rich to feed the poor, a Sherlock Holmes one without the detailed deductions, or a Snow White one where she’s too cautious to bite into the apple.
Donovan and I address this issue towards the very end of the review and he mentions his own example of it.

Hercules (1997) vs Star Trek (2009)
OR, if you've not seen that Star Trek film (like presumably @slothian)...
Hercules (1997) vs Superman II

Haven’t seen him in a lot of things, but he was almost always a welcome presence, including in The Rocketeer, Edward Scissorhands, and especially Little Miss Sunshine:

RoboCop, Hot Fuzz, Manchurian, Jaws, and Rear Window. Still not seen The Thing.

The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (1996) vs. The Dark Knight Rises
-
Psycho, Fuzz, Towers. Can't comment on any of the others apart from Brazil.

The Soundtrack Show by David W. Collins. An absolute most-listen for anyone who's enjoyed John Williams' music for Star Wars (hi, @Missy, @Dan, and @KnightWing!), along with his other key film scores (Jaws, Superman, Jurassic Park etc). It also has episodes (often in multiple parts) devoted to the music of Danny Elfman, classic films like Casablanca and Psycho, the themes of The Legend of Zelda (and Ocarina of Time in particular), and many more!

All of the above, plus:
Monty Python's Life of Brian vs Ghostbusters
Hot Fuzz vs In Bruges
The Wicker Man (original) vs The Dark Knight
Life of Brian, Hot Fuzz, and The Dark Knight. That said, I've not seen Ghostbusters for nearly ten years and have never been that high on it (and liked the sequel even less).

Did they ever explain why Counselor Troi was allowed to wear low-cut tops, when all of the other women had to wear the uniform? Other than the male gaze, which is not an in-continuity explanation.
No.

Finally got to it today and enjoyed it immensely! I was pleasantly surprised that
Spoilera) You ended up covering them best-to-worst, rather than vice versa and
b) That the three of you enjoyed the films on the whole as much as you did. I somehow got the notion that Star Wars was a essentially a half-good, half-bad film franchise and that that was the received wisdom. Then again, only the Sith deal in absolutes.

I've only seen it once and am due for a rewatch of it, but I already suspect Some Like It Hot is better than Bruges, especially considering when it was made.
The Dark Knight and Strange 1.
