  1. the Haitian has some kind of telepathy. Remember that he can mind-wipe, like with the rapist. I assumed he has some kind of "close-combat" telepathy since he seems to need physical contact to use it, which explains nathan's flight away. though with eden there was no physical contact for their resisting.
  2. I'm a little confused about Sylar's healing at this point. At first I thought he could because he was shot. Then he might have protected himself with TK Cable-style. Then he fell and stayed down. Then he was gone. Can he heal real fast? or is he just protecting himself from getting hurt in the first place? If he can heal, why target the Claire? I thought this episode was great. I'm enjoying that it has mysteries but absolutely no problem giving the answers to the questions away. It doesn't feel the need to hide everything and leak info slowly. If you haven't gotten the answers yet, they just haven't had time for that storyline this ep...
  3. You know, I was thinking about making a similar topic. I've missed the boat on picking this story up, I'll probably pick up the tpb(s) since the buzz seems really good. I am a fan Drax, Super-Skrull, and Nova so I'm not really sure why I missed it. There are some really cool rumors/spoilers circling around about Drax and Nova lately too. So, if anyone is reading it, is this positive hype true?
  4. Oh god, the Feed is atrocious. here's the meeting at G4: Males age 18 to 30 will find this girls body AND accent sexy! She's hired! screw talent oh yeah, and some icons are OK. Though once that show decided to start doing things like "Icons: Seth Green"...
  5. sony seems to be on its way out as far as third party support goes. Much like how some big names migrated to sony back in the day, I expect a similar migration back to nintendo. They are going to want to jump on wii like they jumped on ds. Plus, how do you make a game fresh that hasn't been fresh, in years? (Madden) Answer: Put it on Wii everything I've been hearing lately has Sony burning their bridges
  6. Ohhh snap. how'd he do dat. but the AotS mention reminded me of the other non-total failure that g4 has made. That girl they have as the co-host now is also a really good host, especially with her charisma and chemistry with kevin. The show is still god awful, but the hosts are good hosts.
  7. does anyone outside the "sports entertainment" industry call it "sports entertainment?" no, it's wrestling. videogames are going to be called videogames no matter how some association tries to dress it up with purple prose.
  8. I still mourn the loss of Tech TV. The only good things G4 has ever really done is keep Xplay, allow Kevin Ferererererereria (yeah, i don't know) to flourish (he sucked hard on original g4, now he's a pretty good tv personality), and that former g4tv.com show (whatever happened to it). pretty much every other decision they have ever made has been awful
  9. I'd be tempted to say DS, since gameboys have a way of permeating everything everywhere at all times, its seems. However based on my dad calling me up the other day out of nowhere to ask about an ad he saw in the bestbuy papers "is this the new thing where you [insert arm waving and lightsaber-like sounds]" "yeah dad, it is" "man, that's alot cheaper than I thought it would be. I'd like to try it some time" excluding dr mario and tetris, my pop hasn't touched videogames since the Intellivision. So even though he wouldn't go out and buy one for himself that fact that he new what it was and the "gimmick" is good enough to make him want to try it bodes well for Wii. Plus, if I planted the seed, his interest could probably turn into a xmas or bday Wii for me.
  10. Word on the street tells me that Windows now runs really well on a mac. I've pretty much fallen out of computer gaming, so the "inadequacies" of a mac really aren't my concern. My friends tell me that if you don't mind running windows, macs can now play all those games. This is pure word of mouth, so correct me if I'm wrong peeps. I much prefer lounging with a console.
  11. She is one the most gracious artist I've ever met. This past weekend I was at Anime USA with a bunch of friends and Jo Chen was one of the guests. My group went as most of the main cast from Runaways and she recognized it instantly. It was entertaining because there was only one other person who vocally recognized what we were. I picked up a Robin and a Racer X print. She signed them. She signed some comic covers that we brought. She signed a part of our costumes. At one of her panels, she went through a step by step on how she makes a cover. She also plugged the American release of her book in 2007. If you haven't seen her covers, her art is absolutely beautiful. I wish she would be more willing to take her style back to interiors but it seems that she was burned doing interiors for mainstream books before and doesn't intend giving it another mainstream go. Companies could sell a lot of books to me if her work was on the inside. I've come across enough guests at cons who are so... let's say, grumpy... that I can't help but wonder why they agreed to come. It was nice to eagerly anticipate meeting her from the moment I saw her listed as a guest and then have her be such a sweet person.
  12. It is interesting that they didn't put Punisher on there but did put DD on their considering his "capture" even though I'm pretty sure he's the anti-reg plant linked to Cap's deal with Zemo. So either it is a mistake to have DD on the cover or they felt Punisher's fate was a more important tease/secret to keep than DD's fate.
  13. That's the abbr for lacrosse for us mid-atlantic east coasters. I'm a three hour drive from like half of the ranked teams in college lacrosse. It's how we roll
  14. man, Dodgeball would be pretty house. billiards lax volleyball
  15. break out the attachment and show me some of ye olde skoole jousting.
  16. fury has been awol or mia or one of those various terms that means gone as far as shield is concerned. what he has been doing is destroying LMD and guiding certain other characters, like spider-woman and winter soldier. It is also possible that he had a hand in wrecking the helicarrier that the new ant-man suit was on. basically, fury is running his own ops as under the radar as possible. it seems like only a handful of people or less have any hope of contacting them when they want to. but man oh man if tony is in charge of SHIELD when hulk comes back... I can't wait for the hulk to come back
  17. If the music samples are provided I would totally listen and participate but as far as my knowledge of the field goes... I know the Jaws theme. Then there is that one from the one series... I forget which though I think it is either Elm or 13th (chh chh chh hrh hrh hrh). And of course there is... umm, well, Beetlejuice? (greatest theme ever, by the way. Ever)

    Wii news

I never pre-order things. I also keep telling myself that I am not going to buy a Wii but, knowing Nintendo, the price will probably drop like thirty dollars with a game still packed in and I'll end up having one by next Christmas. Don't get me wrong--I want one pretty badly, but staying a bit behind usually protects my already pained bank.
  19. The way things are going now, I feel the need to come up with two teams. One would be anti-reg playaz and the other Lawfull playaz. The House: Hercules. You've seen his conviction following Cap, but they could easily have Cap do something to cause Herc to become disenchanted and seperate from direct Cap-contact. They could even have Cap become distraught and suggest Herc could do something like this, so he can do more good. Herc is a "big" player in CW being one of the anti-reg Generals, so he should have some clout coming on the tail end or just after CW. The Heart and Soul: Cloak and Dagger. They say teams need something to hold them together and usually when teams are just thrown together in such a fashion they don't have that bond. Bringing in these two would force feed the team a bond. The Leader: Hawkeye. The "rumor" is he is alive now and just hiding. Whether he comes back as Hawkeye or comes up with something else, he could step up and lead the team. He has the poise to do so, especially with the assembled group. He would fit well in an "on the run" type late/post CW team. If he takes a new identity, the three team members would know who he really was and be able to keep that secret. Team 2 The House: Sentry. He would do it to honor and at the request of Reed. It would be interesting to watch how he responded to following someone he isn't used to. He's timid enough when he's following his closest friends who are established big-league leaders. The House-like Brains: Doc Samson... He's smart but not really a leader. He'd be offered the gig, and with Hulk not around (and Reed and Tony not wanting to admit they lost him) he would take the gig. The Government's Whipping Boy... House: Wonder-Man. The higher-ups tell him to. more blackmail. He begrudgingly does it. The Leader: Bishop. Again, like an appointed role. Government or whatnot. He is military and experienced. He's the type of personality that the Reg bigwigs would trust and thrust in this role. He has such untapped potential that by giving him a more prominent role as a leader, he could flourish as a character. Team 1 would read like a team, a unit. Not technically sound, they need practice working together, but they wouldn't have rifts, they all want to be there for the right purpose. Every day would still be a struggle to get through, but they would because they try. Team 2 would offer some comedy (bishop barking strategy and then the other three guys just standing in front letting everything bounce off them before eventually shrugging and then standing out front and absorbing whatever energy comes at him) as well as a foil for the good team chemistry of team 1. Wonder-Man doesn't want to be there. Sentry is lost no matter where he is. Samson is too smart for his own good when it comes to being told to follow someone like Bishop. Tension ensues. Every day is a struggle to get through but they would because a high authority tells them to. The book I would like to see come out of something like this would tie the two teams not actively against each other but on opposing ground, with constant connections being made in their seperate adventures. The first team wouldn't actually be called the FF (the second team could, assuming with tony and reed's backing).

    Wii news

I can understand why a racing game was chosen as the demo but, especially with the one they chose, I lost interest in even trying out Wii when I saw what I would have been playing. A racing game is much more controled than, say, swinging the stick in public with tennis in Wiisports but I'm sure they had to have had something more appealing ready that wouldn't be a danger to passers-by.
  21. about the folding thing, I've got an old spidey-comic somewhere in my stash where he actual sink-washes the symbiote and hangs it up to dry. During that, it maintains its spidey-suit-like shape. When he goes to sleep the symbiote attaches to him and runs him around the city and he wakes up really tired, but still, with that as a precedent the folded suit isn't far-fetched.
  22. 16 teen year old kid named Amadeus Cho, I don't feel like grabbing my comics to check for exact accuracy on spelling and age but it is relatively correct. It isn't exactly that he is smarter than richards or stark, just that he "processes data" differently than anyone else ever has. He sure as hell outsmarted Reed Richards though.
  23. IC is definately a bigger event than LH was. Which is in part why I like LH better. It was a self contained story that existed in the world, more plausible, as was stated. Contrary to that, IC felt to me that it was kind of forced onto the world for the sake of "impact" and big change. mistakes were made and acts were done that I don't know if I believe that these people were have done, characterwise. Yes lots a parallels but I don't really consider it a rip off either.
  24. X was as much a movie as Spirits Within was. Given it was a good and entertaining movie, even more so the SW (since SW could really only show the "final chapter" of what could have been a full fledged game while still being a movie) but still, the ease and cuts and everything really made it feel like a movie
