  1. I'm so glad I'm not the only one hating the micah story. Everybody else I talk to is like "omg that is so awesomez!!!1! She is soo hawt she roxxors!"
  2. not according to the OED... For common-man use, I really feel like a GN is an all encompassing term for the physical format, nowadays: comics published in a squarebound edition. A TPB gets a bit more specific in the sense that it is a collection, and all those other terms that make things more specific, digests and such.
  3. they fixed it now. I was able to watch it yesterday... or was it monday. days get confusing for me. I only had the problem over the weekend, so it must have been on their end. I've never had the problem you are talking about, though. Does it continue to do it in the same spot if you try again?
  4. The episode made the Haitian so much more awesome than he was. I can't wait for his story to get explored now that he's been "established." Anyone else just really tired of Micah's Family storyline. The characters have interacted with the main story players, but the storyline itself hasn't really weaved in yet. I'm just really bored with those three.

well, that is why there is all the pretty pictures. They don't have to read. It's for all those people who refuse to play games without voice actors... /slice
  6. Alot of books in the past were serialized in a similar manner. The story as a whole still gets called a novel. In that sense, I can see any serialized story (be it an arc or self-contained) could still be called a graphic novel. The reverse, however, would not always apply.
  7. TMNT hold a special place in my heart and because of this I have tried to avoid rumors and speculation on the movie as much as possible... however, do any of you guys know what continuity they plan on using or creating their own? I've heard comments where they don't want to focus on The Shredder because he already had two movies, but much like avoiding used villains in Batman Begins, it doesn't mean it was the same continuing story.
  8. yes, Immortus is the same guy. The theory is fun and could make sense but I doubt that would ever be it. I mean, when has marvel ever allowed established villains, just for the sake of argument let's say like Belasco or Sinister, be revealed as a distorted character evolutions of mainstream heroes?

I am actually laughing. Along with feeling sad about humanity. And the dog, I'm sad about the dog.

Damn, now what am I supposed to do with my orange gatorade and left-over four-leaf clovers? and what is that other one, please don't throw your wii out with the trash?
  11. score one for america! My problem is just that it doesn't seem to actually have the video parts connected. I hopes they fix it before next week's eps.
  12. So, hey, yeah. Anybody use this sweet service? You know, being old and all I don't stay up late enough anymore to watch what I want from AS. However, if you do use it, have you been having problems with this weeks episodes? I can't get them to load this week and I'm just wondering if it's my end or theirs. If you don't use it, you should check it out. I never would have seen Frisky Dingo otherwise.
  13. vagrant story was great, and I can see why people feel like ffxii reminds them of it but I like VS alot better than what little I've done with ffxii. 10 really kinda ended my enthusiasm for FF anyway. now it's just a series as cool as any other.
  14. The final Wii complaint reminds me of the Colbert Report where he used Wii-Sports boxing. It was funny. I never really understood the regioning nonsense. I mean, wuzzupwitdat? I think it's silly.
  15. I agree with that whole-heartedly to make a comparison, it is like "best artist" (the recurring) and "best song" (single segment whether or not it is part of a regular segment)
  16. sooooo... this conversation send anyone else into a "Foster's Home..." memory. No? I suppose I'm the only who watches that show. I want a coooooooookie...
  17. I would lean towards allowing it as well, considering I was a mainpage-only person for quite a while. However, I'm not quite sure how you could properly verify or enforce it. Of course, if they don't, I doubt they would take the time to vote. unmaking some mud here: are the potential nominees for best movie review (and others like it, "movie" picked randomly) text only, or does that category include both audio and text reviews?
  18. I feel like if Ando remembers why Hiro went back and everything, then she must have still been murdered. There is the whole confusing argument that if she doesn't die then Ando wouldn't know that Hiro went back to save her, since there was nothing to save her from... and so on. Though I could overlook if they just kinda threw in whatever was convenient as far as time travel goes. As for the coffee, it's a lil' town type place. You walk in, they pour coffee, that's how it goes. But how did no one scream from utter shock when Hiro popped up during excersizes?
  19. brilliant I see an epic, sandbox videogame somewhere in that holy manuscript. take a hint game developers go green
  20. Donner's cut would be the only thing in that bundle that interests me in the slightest. I thought the first movie was good, but much like most superman things, I just can't get attached to it or work up an interest.
  21. Aww schnapp, I knew that too and just didn't think about it at posting time! Good work with the correction. That does remind me of the old cartoon series. I was fond of it. Radd decides to find only suitable planets without the intelligent life. Was that what he did in the comics too, or did he just sacrifice himself for his planet's intelligent life? I don't actually recall ever reading a definitive origin/transformation tale for SS. If somebody could name books for such a tale, I'd love to look it up.
  22. Oh man, the cross between Yoshi's Island, the old DK games, the old Mario Bros. (as in, not "Super" Mario Bros.), the Super Mario games, all the sports with time travel involved (baby mario and luigi with old mario and luigi!)... Somebody needs to sort out Mario's continuity! How will I sleep!
  23. I easily believe that he can use his abilities to negate other mental abilities, but I just don't see that as the whole power. Since he can also memory-wipe, his power has got to be more than that, right? I just gotta believe he can do so much more, too.
  24. That was probably the only good part about the last part of Ultimate Galactus: they gave the herald an actual purpose. The 616 just uses the herald to announce the coming, which seems a bit too pompous for a force of the universe such as Galactus
  25. Ed Harris could be a monstrous Starr. But even though he looks the part, Dafoe doesn't strike me particularly for any of Preacher's roles
