    IAN!

    Happy birthday!
  2. Ha! I bought a 70$ sprinkler (rather my wife did) and when putting it together it missing no less than 3 working parts. I fucking went apeshit and when I took it back, the guy at customer service pulled the bent wand out of the box and said "whoa! what happened here?" and I said, "that is where I stomped on it." with a smile.
  3. His attitude problem probably had something to do with it. I was ten and he told me he didn't want to sign my comics or give writing advice when I was three from the end of the line at the end of a con. Fuck Chuck Dixon. Edit: Seriously.
  4. One company down...
  5. You mean: Jack-ay! Ugh.
  6. Agreed. If Downey says "Favreau or I walk" Favreau will direct. I wouldn't worry at this point.
  7. Did it make more sense later in the panel? I could only take about 10 minutes of Claremont's talking before skipping the show...
  8. So what was with the tune at the beginning?

    Final Crisis

Morrison interview at Newsarama. My favorite quote happens after exhaustively explaining to the interviewer that FC was written and conceived before Countdown started:
  10. This is actually kind of weird because we keep getting the werewolf rape shit but every time I go to the online list there's almost always at least someone reading the vampire version of Sexy Beasts, not the werewolf one.
  11. *In best Mr. Slate voice* Red-DIIIIIIICK!!!!!! This person clearly was asking a serious question and I'm sure this site gave them an education. <--------
  12. I was a fan of CB wayyyy back. When Moore and Davis were handling him even. When I wasn't buying any Marvel books because they sucked, I still bought Marvel UK books when they sucked too.

    Final Crisis

Oh there's no doubt that Darkseid will be back in his old ass-kicking form, if you've seen the FC Sketchbook. But I like this incarnation as long as it's in Morrison's hands. Probably disastrous otherwise. He'll need to be back because methinks he'll be the one to save everything from Libra. Then, Darkseid Is, baby!
  14. I have to say that I have known Mike for a while now and thought I knew him well, but the revelation in this episode...wow.
  15. Yay to Bernie Wrightson's Frankenstein! I've been looking for an affordable copy for a while now!
  16. The criteria being who is the better teenage superhero or who could best each other in battle at their teenage height in power? We haven't really done one of these since I've been around.

    was this worth it?

Depends how much you like figures I guess. To me, a recolored hardcover of KJ isn't worth $50. Not when you can get Alan Moore's DCU stories all for less than half that.
  18. Interesting getting an episode of The Show on a Saturday... Yay to Previews!

    Trinity

Picked this up and read it last night. I liked the main story, the characterization and the writing of the three heroes. It was great. But the backup story was fucking horrendously amateurish. What a piece of shit that was in muddled storytelling and terrible, terrible art (sorry Scott Mcdaniel, but you can do better). I won't be picking this up ever, unless they publish the trades separately. Bagley does a great Superman, though.

    Confession Time

I'm single, though. Don't worry, man. I'm sure you'll meeta sex-starved WFP groupie. Not the girl to bring home to mom, but she might dress up like Zatanna for ya! Wait... there are podcasting groupies? (leaves to buy microphone) Bidi bidi Cast? Anyone? I know what this is. You just want to see how long it takes me to fly into a "Fuck Twiki" rage on a semi-regular basis. This is awkward. I love my life.
  21. He's actually remarkably clear-sounding for a stroke-sufferer.

    Confession Time

    I'm wearing Yoda's pants.
  23. I was really trying to listen but after four minutes of him talking about nothing I said out loud in the car "he's talking about nothing!" Then I zoned out until my brain popped up and said, "hey, Greg Hildebrant is talking again." Admittedly, I'm no Peter David fan but when he was talking about how comics used to be written he had to know he was talking about how Claremont writes right now.
