"Big" is a subjective term but I thought Love Metal was one of the best albums of 02 (or 03?) and they are one of the greatest live bands I have ever seen (out of something like 700 bands). Fucking great live band.
  2. drqshadow: Jenna Jameson has a comic published by VIRGIN and you refrain from the joke? I'm shocked... Well done fellas!
  3. alexisonfire would be awesome if they fired their singer and got their guitar player to sing. The singer can't even do hardcore very well...
  4. Wha-HUH? Star Lord was great! Head and shoulders above the other Annihilation Conquest lead in mini-series. That is a pretty sad statement as far as the other A:C miniseries are concerned...
  5. In its defense, I am quite broke. Same here. Psshhh! I swim in a guitar shaped swimming pool full of bourbon while being massaged by Hustler models...what's a matter with you poor folk? Then donate to the site (when i go to canada let me freeload off you) My money is all tangled in off-shore foreign accounts at the moment but I could donate some Hustler models.
  6. Hell. It's a good thing because he made a deal with Mephisto to stay out of this shit book. To bad he'll get screwed over by the Prince of Lies and probably end up in a Slott book or something...
  7. That's not my Guardians of the Galaxy. Star Lord was shit and I have no intention of picking up this weak attempt at keeping the name of a franchise valid as a trademark.

    Episode 25

Cheers Mike! Thanks for all your help. I plan on keeping you busy for a while with this thing. 25 is left in the dust as far as I"m concerned. Here comes 50!

  10. The villain design is cool. While I dislike a lot of the animation (particularly the stock anime style), I'll certainly be checking that out.

It sounds fascist and they wear uniforms and blow things up. I wasn't saying they were Nazis. I loves me some Rammstein. They are one band whose album I will buy sight unseen.

I've been listening to a bit of Emigrate lately. It's a band fronted by the guitar player in Rammstein. The lyrics are in English and it has that freaking awesome Rammstein guitar sound. Rammstein without all the fascist implications.
  13. Are you wearing the same clothes also. If so, I'm guessing there is something you need to come to terms with. He's in love with me?

No, you're right. Nevermind was something new on MTV and commercial radio, although Husker Du and the Melvins (and plenty of others) had been around longer; just without the same kind of exposure. Nirvana was just the band that happened to break through All props should go to who came before. It was a damn solid album. You're all wrong, though Hootie and the Blowfish were what really marked the rise of the alternative scene. Ow! Wrong. We all know Ace of Base were the foundation. They saw the sign, man, and it opened all of our eyes. No joke...the brunette in Ace of Base was a fascination of mine. All that I wanted, was to have her baby, she's gone tomorrow.

If Bob Mould heard you call Nevermind something new he'd punch you in the nose
  16. Still a ways away but they've posted some of the books of interest: Atomic Robo and Friends (16 pages of new material!!) and Broken Trinity (Ron Marz and Stjepan Sejic doing a story about Witchblade, The Darkness and Angelus!) Bitchin'!
  17. Ha! Pissing off Gunnar Hansen is not a good idea. Tobe Hooper is still afraid to be in a room with him 30 years after Texas Chainsaw Massacre. For a Gunnar fan: make sure you check out the upcoming Icelandic film Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre!

I like Pearl Jam but I think that they are one of the most overrated bands of all time. One of. Nirvana is the most overrated band of all time.
  19. This is the sound of Des going from thinking you're cool to hating you... I want to have Angela Bettis' babies...only slightly less than I want to do so for Anna Faris. That is all.
  20. We had the same notes again. Edit: let me add that anyone with May as one of their favorite horror films is very cool in my books and will certainly enjoy an upcoming episode of Dread Media.
  21. Your check's in the mail SR! Ha. Thanks for the kind words. I love it when someone gets back into comics and knowing I had a small part in that brings a metaphorical tear to a figurative eye. Cheers Mate!

Really? I have never had any love for Spoonman. It is a great song but got too much airplay I think. (I absolutely HATE Black Hole Sun) I had seen Soundgarden play Spoonman live three or four times, including once with the actual Spoon Man himself, and still didn't like it. But when I saw Audioslave in Glasgow perform it, I fell in love with it, including a solo acoustic version of Black Hole Son. And admittedly, I don't like Audioslave. Weird. I think Soundgarden is the best band of the past 25 years.
  23. To be honest, I wasn't too interested in a wrestling movie at all considering my interest died out when I was 10. But Mickey Rourke looks friggin' great!

From Badmotorfinger on, Soundgarden has been the greatest band of the nineties. No doubt about that for me. Creatively, for musicality and songwriting chops. None better.

    Spending money

Think about how good the world would be if everybody had free universal childcare. I wouldn't trust my government to run it let alone yours though. That's the problem. By the way, this isn't free money. It's a early payment on next year's tax return. they are actually screwing you.
