  1. The guy at the end who shot Jeff, was the detective who was investigating the Jigsaw case in Saw IV with the female detective who got shot by the puppets gun eyes. Strahm went up to the door after all of it happened and closed it on him, I'd have to assume that he finds the tape recorder Jeff listened too and finds out that Jeff's daughter is locked up someplace with little air. Than the ending of Saw IV happens where Jigsaw is found dead and his autopsy reveals the tape. After Strahm listens to the tape(you notice his face isn't pleased), this starts Saw VI up. Strahm ends up going through a test orchestrated by Jigsaw, but conducted by Jill. Jill is Jigsaw's ex-wife/fiance w/e
  2. I have a feeling this film will involve the Detective at the end(who shot Jeff) going through a test to find the daughter. The beginning and ending of Saw IV, will be revealed to take place after Saw V. Than Saw VI, will consist of the 2nd accomplice going through a test(run by Jill).
  3. It did always bother me that Martha clearly calls Superman; Clark and becomes very motherly protective of Superman right in front of Lois, but her I.Q conveniently seems to go down, when its an obvious clue that Clark and Superman are the same person
  4. My first exposure to Superman was the George Reeves TV Series. Love that show, even til this day. But what got me hooked was the John Williams music when I first saw the Christopher Reeves original. Ahhh!!!!
  5. Okay, well look I haven't seen Brainiac Attacks yet, so I don't know how much it sucks, but it's NOT apart of DCAU continuity, so it will not be on the podcast. For those of you who like that film or just want to review it, than create your own podcast and do it, perhaps James and Mike can send a MP3 of there comments to joi in on that podcast. But it aired during Justice League, so it would be very confusing to go from an episode of Justice League and than to a non-DCAU movie because of it production # date.
  6. I watched The Crow: Wicked Prayer 4 times. It was hard, but when I buy a DVD I make sure I get my money's worth out of it. It was just a horrible film, in my opinion David Boreanaz and Danny Trejo are the only thing that kept me going. The Dennis Hopper scene almost made me jump to get the DVD out of my player(like in an action movie, lol). Sadley you have to waste your money to buy this, since it's not a part of the box set(the only way I'll buy Omen IV: The Awakening is with the box set). I love the Karate Kid films, The Next Karate Kid was utter garbage, but still watchable compared to Crow 4, but not by much. Think about this, a few years after The Next Karate Kid, Hilary Swank won an Oscar for the film "Boys Don't Cry"
  7. Hey guys, sorry for the late response. I'm at my mother's for the week for my niece's birthday(April 9th)and mine(April 14th). But I am listening now and loving the podcast. I'm also watching Smallville tonight,(Lionel is dead, wow) so two things at once, yay me. You got a point about the Saw films, I never thought about it in the way you put it, but having them recap the clues at the end is a bit of an insult. But the Charles Clouser(I believe that's how its pronounced)score is excellent. The Saw films have begun to wear out their welcome. Thank you for the smack to the face, but out of curiosity I'll watch Saw V and VI, when they come out. Brave New Metropolis Love this episode, ever great comic book adapted cartoon series needs an alternate universe or time travel episode and this is great. Right off the bat we get a story which begins interesting and really doesn't let up. The storyline here is similar to the Lois and Clark episode in which Lois ends up in a Tempest run alternate universe, where Lana is engaged to Clark and he hasn't become Superman. The animation for this episode is okay, we get a bit of the night time feel of The New Batman Adventures(since it takes place at night). We also get a preview of the two part series finale of Superman: TAS, with how Superman would rebel, without the elements that keep him calm. You have to remember that Bruce Wayne is seen as a pretty boy billionaire, Superman wouldn't care for a person who is just lucky to be rich. After the last set of episodes, this is a nice change of pace. 6 out of 10. Monkey Fun not the best episode being reviewed. I don't know, these type of episodes aren't so interesting to me. We do get to see Lucy in her only appearance. The episode itself feels very drawn out at times. I felt the same way I felt when I watched Prometheon, even though this episode is better. I do kind of get the feeling that the writers, producers and animators all watched Honey I Blew Up Kid, before writing this episode. That is basically a bad sequel and this isn't a good episode. I have nothing really more to say. 3 out of 10. Ghost in the Machine Any Brainiac episode in the DCAU and Smallville shows are great. I can't wait until we get a Brainiac in the films. This episode is great on its own, but I love how important this episode is to a future storyline in Justice League: Unlimited. We also get to see the original Mad Scientist Luthor(from the Golden Age), not just the Billionaire that was created in 1986. I don't have much to say about this episode beyond, EXCELLENT. I like how we get Mercy and Superman having to put aside their differences to try and save Lex Luthor. We also get a bit of a backstory on Mercy, which helps to better understand her. I must give this a 10 out of 10. No flaws as I can see. Father's Day here we go, we had a great cameo in the past episode that teased us of Darkseid and here we get our dose to last us for future episodes. We get the premiere episode of Kalibak's character. Michael Ironside is a god when it comes to villains. If they ever bring the character of Darkseid into the films and its in the style of Darth Vadar(actor in suit, but different voice), they need to cast Ironside as the voice. I like the story we get here, Kalibak is doing what he does for his father, like many people in real life all we want to do is make our father's proud. I think its a big coincedence that its Father's Day, instead of a random day. Just incredible and nothing more. This isn't the best Darkseid episode, but very important in the DCAU continuity. 9 out of 10.
  8. Well during several interviews they admitted with this reboot, they looked toward the TV Sheries for inspiration. I actually like this, since I loved the TV Show. I hope they give it a "In Memory Of" Bill Bixby thing.
  9. What do you mean it's not part of the DCAU? It's got the same animation style and the same principal voice actors! It was made by Bruce Timm and Co. and did have all the same animation style, but its not considered canon with the DCAU, this confusion may have been why they changed the animation a bit in Superman: Doomsday
  10. Wall-E, does that mean the walls will actually talk? Wouldn't be surprised.
  11. I wanted to know, we can see that Robert Downey Jr. has a cameo in the film The Incredible Hulk, but has he done any interviews about when and if he's shot the scene yet? Also Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury is an awesome choice, I know many die hard comic book fans will disapprove with the ethnic change, but come on, he is a great actor. I wasn't too thrilled with Snakes on the Plane, but he's great in his acting. You have to admit Michael Clarke Duncan was great when he played and voiced Kingpin in the Daredevil film and Spider-Man MTV Cartoon episode. John Rhyes Davies wasn't really a good Kingpin, even though he is the right ethnicity.
  12. I guess they ran out of Peter Pan stories when they did that quote-unquote Adult "Peter Pan" movie, which stunk. I know that there were several Peter Pan stories written, not sure why only the first story is ever told in film form. It's like the Oz stories, you know over 40 stories has been made but only 3 of those stories have been made into film. I still haven't seen Cars, don't plan to see it or Cars II, I know its for kids, but it seems like EVERY object becomes able to talk when it comes to a Pixar/Disney film and its annoying now. I might go see Toy Story and Toy Story II in 3-D, maybe the 3-D will make part 2 better.
  13. Damn, I was about to post this news. Well you beat me to it. The only film I'm looking forward too is Toy Story 3, even though, the 2nd one sucked.
  14. You have to remember in "Solar Power" Superman had never experienced the power of the Red Sun, besides the fact that it was powered by Lightner, so he could have changed the intensity of the Sun's power and than decrease it and than increase it, causing Superman to hurt more when he weakens. In "Hereafter" it's a real Red Sun, not being controlled by anything, so his body is able to adjust.
  15. Yea, I was on youtube and someone posted a video on The Amazing Spider-Man DVD-Rom set. It has every issue of The Amazing Spider-Man including his debut appearance in Amazing Fantasy. Marvel has also brought out similar gems with their other Super-Heroes. Here's the link: http://eagleonemedia.com/comic_book_cd-roms.htm Now if DC can do this, it would be awesome. If you wanna see the actual video that I saw and see this impressive DVD-Rom set, here's that link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeJq9FUrdR8
  16. He is meant to be Savage, he calls himself Knox, because like any good immortal he needs a new identity(ever see Highlander?), but he is essentially Savage, the producers have even said that he is meant to be Savage. Dean Cain was actually really good in the episode. He got so annoying when he played the goody-good Clark in Lois and Clark, it was nice to see him evil or at least not so goody-good.
  17. Yeah, he mentions how he has survived several different fatal wounds and even mentions Mongul from War World. That was a great episode, because on one side he's a deranged villain and from his point of view all he wanted was to be with the woman he loved. Sad... so in the episode, he doesn't get killed, so he can be bought back.
  18. I know that Michael Rosenbaum will be in a handful of episodes in Season 8, but he wants to pursue a more theatrical career(same reason James Caan left Las Vegas). Perhaps this means we'll see more James Marsters as Brainiac. We also have scheduled another appearance by Dean Cain as Vandal Savage. Someone had stated that perhaps we'll see Darkseid, I hope not, that caharacter needs to be highly developed and it would be a more theatrical type villain.
  19. HUGE Bump I know. But I just got done watching the Series Finale and wow, it was amazing, the animation, the storyline and the voice acting, all great. And seeing Brainiac get his skull caved in was pretty graphic for a children's cartoon. But what I wanted to know is, does anyone know if they are supposed to make a spin-off series or movie, the ending shows Brainiac still alive, saying "Evil doesn't die, it evolves" That's not usually an indication of a Series Finale(unless the show is prematurely cancelled).
  20. Okay, I got further scoop on this DVD release. It is now scheduled to be released July 15th, 2008 and will features the entire DCAU web-series Gotham Girls. Check out this link for Hi-Resolution Specs of the Box Art. Hopefully we get a free ticket to see The Dark Knight, since it looks like the Unaired Pilot will not be offered(I'm glad I have it). http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Birds-Pre...ete-Series/9320
  21. When the show originally aired it had high ratings, every episode had high numbers in the ratings, but many die hard comic book fans didn't like the liberties the writers and producers were taking with the characters(most notably Dinah Lance, who isn't The Black Canary here, but her daughter). Some of the producers and writers were on the same team as Smallville, so there were subtle references to "stranger things with meteors" I don't see why the Black Canary thing would be an issue aside from her age. The current Black Canary is the daughter of the original and they are both called Dinah Lance. Well another problem was the origin of The Huntress, in this series she is the daughter of Batman and Catwoman. When I first started watching the series, I had no idea of this character or her relationship with Batman, so I assumed it must be at least a close resemblance to her actual origins. People started to get mad and they would say "She's not his daughter" I found out later that one of the origins does depict her as being Batman's daughter, a storyline involving Bruce Wayne coming back to New Gotham to resume work as Batman would have been touched upon, had The WB, kept the show running, we would have also gotten The Joker back into the show. At the time WB was still pretty touchy about any Batman characters being put out in a live action format(at the time Batman Begins was being made)other than a feature film. This is why, we only got a glimpse of Batman in the pilot and why we got a Smallville show instead of a Bruce Wayne TV Series.
  22. I have actually told many people about this forum. I have several other forums I'm apart of, but friends from those forums I tell about this one and they are very interested in joining.
  23. When the show originally aired it had high ratings, every episode had high numbers in the ratings, but many die hard comic book fans didn't like the liberties the writers and producers were taking with the characters(most notably Dinah Lance, who isn't The Black Canary here, but her daughter). Some of the producers and writers were on the same team as Smallville, so there were subtle references to "stranger things with meteors" Thinking about it, I have an idea why they're releasing this now...and it has nothing to do with the high fan requests. It has to do with the release of The Dark Knight and the fact that the first episode does feature flashback scenes with Batman and The Joker.
  24. Maybe for Earth-2.net: The Show, but not WFP. Cool, can't wait for that. Lori Loughlin made a great Black Canary and it sucked that she couldn't come back. Also we get to see(even in brief)a live action Dark Knight TV Batman. Ever since Tim Burton's Batman we have never been graced with The Dark Knight on TV, except in the brief flashback scenes. Not to mention, a live action Clayface(and the episode he's featured in is called "Feat of Clay" nice little connection there with the DCAU).
  25. It doesn't say yet, but I'm guessing we'll get the Unaired Pilot with Sherilyn Finn(or maybe its Fenn)as Harley Quinn. Also we might get commentary and interviews I'm sure. Mike and James is there any chance that you can do a review on the Pilot, since Mark Hamill does the voice of The Joker and the character of Harley Quinn was based off of the DCAU Harley Quinn?
