Okay, I'm feeling pretty good right now. As mentioned, I look like a shoo-in for the one job I have an interview for (nepotism ftw), so I will have money coming in. Combine that with the fact I have my last paycheque from my current job coming in in two weeks (my last day is today) and I have a decent income with a one week break. It's looking like James and I have almost found our new roomie. A good looking lady from Manchester no less (goal one of the winter, show why hockey > soccer). Furthermore, I took a look at my student loan balance...I thought that I would have a hair short of $20K to pay off. I looked at the website today and it said I had less than $3K. Things are coming up my way.

Billy Talent is always a fave of mine. Against Me and Thrice are also worth a listen in my mind. I thought Danko Jones was supposed to be at the Reading festival, guess not.

The guy's movies gave me enough headaches to keep Tylonal in business for many years, but the guy did some damn good work. RIP.

So it looks like my unemployment will last all of a week. That's great, One week off, no lost income (as I still get paid through the middle of September). Now we just need to get our last roommate and we're set.

The sad thing is, knowing me, is that one day I will buy one of those, just for the novelty of having my Genesis having so mauch failure (CD, 32X, that) attached to it at once.

I think I just got busted on a speed trap last night. Great, between the fact that I don't have a job past 2 weeks from now, manditory payments begin on my student loans at that time, and that James & I don't have a roommate again I'm so fucked for money. Somebody hire me damnit.

Never had three days in a row, but I've had days like that this summer at my job, good times. Ran through so much Doctor Who and Breaking Bad.

This is a PSA for anyone that wants to spend this weekend in Grand Beach. Yes, there is algae in the lake. THERE IS ALWAYS, HAS ALWAYS BEEN, AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE ALGAE IN THE LAKE! Yes, it is not good for you to injest it, so don't eat it. If your kids can't abide by those guidelines, don't let them in the lake. No the E. Coli levels in the lake have not risen, we have done tests, swimming in this lake will not kill you. You should know that this is a natural freshwater lake, not a swimming pool, it's going to be a little bit dirty, but it's fine for swimming. Worst case scenario is you have a slight green film on you afterwards, take a shower when you go home and you should be fine. I've been living out here for 20 years now, and I've been in that water since before I could walk. You will be fine.

Hey guys, So over at the Oratory talk of Fantasy Football is heating up and I just have the itch to get into some fantasy sports again after a few years off (I blame Silly Little Game from the 30 for 30 series). Anyhow, I realize that this place has never had the most vibrant sports chat in the world, and I think it would be a fun way to get some chat going, and maybe introduce some new people into our favorite sports (I mean, it is a game) So what better way to start than with a fantasy football league for the upcoming season. For right now I just want to see who would all be interested in joining (I'd be hoping for 10 at least.) If we have enough interest we can work out the details. Who's all in. People who are in: 1. So I talked with Greg Ayres at the Ai-Kon wrap-up dinner about my past depression and such. He remembered the e-mail I'd sent him about it 2 years ago. Yeah, I'm happy.
