  1. My problem with the not talking about the Rumble, is that they talk about it. They state that this match helped solidify The Rock as a main event guy. Rock even goes as far as to say he was 'swinging for the fences'. They show Foley laying in the entrance way with blood just flowing from his head. Foley seems uncomfortable and measured in talking about it. If you go that far, just go all the way. And even if he does not have bad days, just get more personal. He has a huge tattoo on his shoulder. I know why it is there. I know what it means. But taking five minutes to go over that instead of more 'ROck is aWesome!!__!(!~!+_' would have been nice. I do think you got it right Suave, it is just Bland with a capital B. Which is odd, since The Rock is one of the most charismatic wrestlers ever.
  2. Marvel Anime: Wolverine - Enjoyable, but not rewatchable. The story is predictable, but done well. 'Twists' are blatantly obvious from the start and you can probably call the ending after episode one. However, it rarely dragged (Omega Red section is filler), and was a really fast watch. The animation is generally good, but the 'gore' goes way too cartoony in the last episode. Granted this is a cartoon, but it just doesn't jive with the rest of the series. Only real gripe is the dubbed voice for Wolverine. Just doesn't seem to fit with Wolverine.

That was a bad call. However, it was not the only one in that game let alone this season. The only reason this is getting more press is due to it being a last second touchdown. Note that I did not say change the game. Since it was not the only blown call in the game, the game was already changed. I am somewhat mystified at this quote. Golden Tate was trying to make a play. Too late, but he was trying to make a play. Should he not do that? Should he have stood up went to the ref and said "Nah, the other guy caught it. We should lose."? I get not feeling good about the win. I get that. But to call their integrity into question is a bit much. I think that is a bit unfair. It was a last second touchdown that won the game. And while what happened happened, I understand celebration in the moment. Seattle players didn't see the close-up TV view that we all saw at home. Most are yards away. All they know is that they won in spectacular fashion. I would hope (and somewhat expect) that if you asked them today, they would admit to having gotten away with one. [This article seems to say that someone does so.] I'd liken it to a last second buzzer-beater in basketball. The shot is always reviewed to see if the shot was made before time expired. But the players saw it go in and dog-pile the shooter. If it counts or not, I'm not going to fault players for reacting that way.
  5. Just finished with the newest Rock documentary. That was something. As a documentary, it is rather shit. It is completely surface level on most things. The Austin, Jericho & Flair sets all had way more stuff to jam into a documentary and I felt they all went deeper into their subject than this Rock set did. And as is par with WWE sets, they focus too much on the last chapter, just because it is the last chapter. Yeah, Rock vs. Cena should be mentioned, but not at that type of length. But the biggest problem is the fact this set is nothing but a two hour blowjob for Dwayne. To mention other sets (Edge & Orton specifically), not everything on the discs is 'happy fun times'. They go into bad times and what these people went thru. Apparently, Rock is Jesus and has never had a bad day. I thought that they were going somewhere with the Foley Rumble match, but nope. Glossed over and not an issue. No mention of other wrestlers feelings about him coming back for a match here and there. I am not saying go full 'Ultimate Warrior DVD' on the guy. I just don't think he is the 2nd coming that this thing makes him out to be.
  6. For the time, I watched South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut in its entirety. Beyond the songs, it really just felt like a long episode. Not a bad thing per say, but I expected something else.
  7. I'll go with The League because I cannot think of anything better.
  8. I just watched the finish to 211. Funniest ending to a Botchamania in a while.
  9. Crime Syndicate (Owlman with the rest of the roster TBD.)
  10. Been on youtube for the past hour. I have no idea what is going on, but I think I love HUSTLE.
  11. Reminds me of Hard Gay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAUfzNLPnWs
  12. Based on how the costume is above the hand, I imagine that the hand can be retracted and he has a Mega Man energy cannon. Because why not at this point.
  13. I doubt that this is the only version we see. If I remember correctly, he is supposed to have different modes. Maybe this is combat or stealth. My problem is that it looks more like a man in armor, rather than a robot man.
  14. As I said in chat, I wanted to do an All-Time Mullet team. There are some fantastic mullets that need to be recognized.
  15. Wolverine: Old Man Logan - I liked this. However, I think I hyped this up a little too much in my own head. Also, not crazy about Millar using the plot from Wanted in this. Just makes the thing seem unoriginal. New X-Men - Really a tale of two vastly different series. I absolutely adore the 1st half of the series. Making this a teenage high school drama (with superpowers) was a fun read. Maybe it is the New Mutants mark in me, but I like the idea of young mutant learning about their powers. Granted, it still had some flaws, but most were minor and could (and I think would) have been fixed if this book stayed on course. Then 'M Day' happens. Gone is the setting that I enjoy. Gone is the fun. Not to say that these issues are bad, cause they are not, but the fun is just gone. I do like the characters and their progressions, but the dark tone almost overshadows it. (Tangent time: Emma. I get that the world changed. But she went from bitchy to Bitch with little explanation. I get that it probably happened in Uncanny, but if she is going to be in this book, I should be told in this book. Really annoyed me.) All in all, I enjoyed the series, but I just wish I could have gotten more of the pre-M Day stuff. Comics: 25 Graphic Novels: 1 Trades: 147 (809)
  16. I have not been watching live. I checked the forums and saw that this thread had been posted in. I decided to watch RAW first, least I see some spoilers and such. I am fast forwarding it, so I skipped the tag match. Then I see Cole talking and stop to listen and damn. One of those blood run cold moments. I stopped watching and checked online to see if he was okay. Glad that this situation didn't end worse. I hope this marks the end his in ring career. It just isn't worth it at this point.
  17. I was hoping for Star Trek 2: The Legend of Curly's Gold myself.
