Well, if we're talking characters I'd love to murder, Tidus and post-lobotomy (aka FFX-2) Yuna. If we're talking favorite all-time main characters, then it's (in no particular order) General Beatrix (FFIX), Reddas (FFXII), Penelo (FFXII), Larsa (FFXII), Lulu (FFX), Auron (FFX), Vivi (FFIX), Paine (FFX-2). Favorite villains are Kuja (FFIX), Vayne (FFXII), and Seymour (FFX). I've only ever played FFIX, FFX, FFX-2, and FFXII all the way through. I'm going to try to work my way through the Anthology (V and VI) at some point in the near future and maybe get my hands on Tactics. FFVIII I only made it to Deling City and then I traded it in cause I couldn't stand it.

Okay, before I jump in, are we judging on coolness or favorites?

  4. Watched Dr. Horrible two nights in a row, the first when the parents were fighting on Christmas Day with one of the little sisters (she loves it), then with her and my father last night (he was asleep for half of it, and woke up right at Captain Hammer's hammer = dick line *facedesk*). Showing the parents Inglourious Basterds tonight.
  5. Going to be playing through Odin Sphere soon, and then Okami, maybe trying to finish up Kingdom Hearts II at 100% on the side.
  6. Just got back from the grandparents' house for extended family Chritsmas. From the grandparents, I got Okami (my grandma figured out GameStop?!), a $25 Best Buy gift card, and a nice pair of earrings; from one of my aunts and uncles, $20 to use at either Red Lobster or Olive Garden; and from my grandpa for the name exchange, Odin Sphere (see above note w/r/t Grandma figuring out GameStop) and Inglourious Basterds (which I am watching tonight with the parents). And my aunt loved the puzzle and Bath and Body Works stuff I got her, so that's good, too.
  7. Merry goddamn Christmas to all, as I am currently drunk off of wine, a bit o' beer, and homemade Irish cream involving Jameson, which is the goddamn best thing in the universe.
  8. It's been a quieter Christmas out here so far, but that's mainly because we're delaying it to New Year's Eve because of two cars breaking down on the same day and the repairs being a bit on the expensive side (and I kind of feel terrible about that). But we're going to Christmas with the extended family on Sunday, and, of course, there's New Year's Eve to look forward to. So far, I got a nice pair of PJs (cute snowflake bottoms and a black long sleeve top), and a pasta cookbook that I'm wavering on taking back (they included a gift receipt) from the parents.
  9. Merry Christmas, all. Or: Merry Zombie Jesus Birthday. Or, to quote the text Sims just sent me back, Merry Christians Stole a Pagan Holiday For their Vampire-Zombie God Day.

  11. Plus, ya know, I don't know how many of us would be able to work with a camera that well. (Or, in my case, would even look that good on camera.)

So, I've now updated my Christmas list with help for the parents on where to possibly find things. xD
  13. I don't know if this has been covered or suggested yet, but if you get the chance, pick up the Wonderful Wizard of Oz trade if it ever comes out in paperback (cause I don't know how expensive the HC is and if it would be prohibitively so).
  14. Wonderful Wizard of Oz HC: Caught this while I was doing some Christmas shopping, sat down with it at Barnes and Noble. Writing isn't exactly the greatest, as it's pretty much the original story word-for-word and taken down a bit more to a kid's level, but it's still solid enough. But holy shit, if you get this for no other reason, get it for the art. There's one two-page-spread in here that I remember so well, the moment when they step into the Emerald City, and it is amazing. Wonderful and whimsical all the way. Skottie Young does absolutely amazing work on this. The art is the sole reason I will be getting this whenever I have enough money.
  15. If they're going to center it around Xavier and Erik when they were just getting to know each other, and have the school be part of that, then I think it could work just fine. And I had my suspicions that they were going to merge the Magneto story with this when we got the first announcements.
  16. Warranty is generally a year. And sorry to say, but closest Apple store is in Milwaukee; however, if you call the help line, they may be able to refer you to Apple-authorized retailers in the area. I don't know how long you've had the charger, but they generally last about two years before they start going all fucky, as I found out.
  17. I had a huge thing against the sixth book, as it seemed mostly cobbled together from the Harry Potter section on fanficiton.net, or in direct reaction to it (apparently Rowling was reading the section around the time she was writing this).

It's a one-shot called Ninja Tales from Boom!. Original poster on scans_daily found it in a bargain bin a few years back.

The only way that calendar could be any better would be if it sang songs from the show when you change the month.
