  1. The problem is that a lot of Elijah Wood's interesting work of the last few years is on television. Still, The Good Son or The War for early career, Everything is Illuminated for mid, and I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymre for recent. That said, if you feel like bending the rules, Over The Garden Wall's 10 segments run about the length of a movie.
  2. The Great Muppet Caper works on so many levels. It's The Muppets playing The Muppets playing characters that share their names with The Muppets. It has the meta moments but is also allowed to be it's own thing.
  3. The Muppets: Nearly the best Muppet movie. It works so well. Yu-Gi-Oh: The Dark Side of Dimensions: This is two hours long. Why? Films: 11 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  4. I know you can rent it off of Amazon. The problen is there aren't many streaming services that do foreign language films. If you have a library card, your library might do Hoopla which does appear to have it.
  5. Mike, have you ever watched La Cage Aux Folles, the movie The Birdcage is based off of?
  6. Hulu has picked up four Marvel animated programs: MODOK (executive produced by Patton Oswalt), Hit-Monkey (produced by Josh Gordon and Will Speck), Tigra & Dazzler (produced by Chelsea Handler), and Howard the Duck (produced by Kevin Smith).
  7. Scooby-Doo and the Curse of the 13th Ghost: I am a big fan of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo and I'm glad to have some resolution after all these years. It also helps that Daphne and Fred both get some major characterization in this one. Happy Death Day: I wrote this off when it came out as just another cheap slasher. I'm glad so many people told me how good it was. I enjoyed myself greatly! Films: 9 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  8. Bob Iger has said that any future Deadpool movies would still be R-Rated, likely released under a new brand.
  9. I beat it on Friday night myself and will echo what Hannah said. I don't think there was a really bad world in there though I know Hannah will say otherwise on Pirate World. I had fun and while I would have enjoyed having the game sooner, I am happy with the game I got. I'm doing some of the post-game stuff now since I figure, hey, I want to get my money's worth. I feel like if we get DLC down the line, it'll be whenever they have the Final Mix ready since there's no reason in this day and age that we should pay another 60 bucks for a rebalanced game with different enemy palettes and a few extra cut scenes and a couple more side bosses. Also: There might be some ingredients around here.
  10. And I bought my pass before the mailing deadline so barring some shenanigans, I am basically in for this year.
  11. Beetlejuice: It's almost unbelievable that Michael Keaton is in only 30 minutes of the film. Hereditary: I kinda dragged my feet on seeing this. Toni Collette is freaking awesome in the film and it's atmospheric and heartbreaking at the same time. Groundhog Day: Because what else am I going to watch on February 2nd? Films: 7 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  12. Basically. Dark Phoenix is a story literally about a Cosmic Force possessing a young woman and eating stars that kill broccoli people. There's literally nothing grounded about it.
  13. Buffy The Vampire Slayer #1: Reboot of the TV series in comics form. It's an interesting take so far. Not completely sure how neccesary it is but I'll give it the first story arc at least. Uncanny X-Men Annual #1: That might be the first time I've liked main continuity Cyclops in forever. Blossom 666 #1: One of the Blossom Twins is the Anti-Christ but let's be honest, it'll end up being Cheryl. Still, an interesting first issue though I could never tell the difference between Archie and Jason. For that matter, it's obvious that the art is inspired by Riverdale. Single Issues: 13
  14. Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion: Underrated as all hell! Love it! It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World: Not all of the humor still works but damn if it's not ambitious to have a nearly 3 hour long comedy! Films: 4 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  15. Ditto. That all said, an October release always seemed like the best option for the film. Hell, nothing is even scheduled for Halloween Weekend this year. If you're going to push a horror movie back, at least push it back to a time it'll make some bank.
  16. Got my bus booked. Still not 100% certain until I book the ticket but getting there.
  17. Uncanny X-Men #10: Okay. I'm finally completely on-board with this. This is why I am a Jean Grey fan. The Wicked+The Divine #41: THAT LAST PAGE! YES!!! Single Issues: 11
  18. I'm kind of also of the same mind on the Spider-verse thing but this should at least make for a fun film.
  19. I've been watching my way through Ranma 1/2. It's problematic so far to say the least but mostly still funny with some good fight scenes. It's interesting that this aired concurrently with Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z because both are comedy (at least to begin with) fantasy martial arts animes but with different approaches.
  20. Iceman #5: Sina Grace got "Henny" into a comic. That alone sold me on what is the conclusion to one of the most queer mainstream titles I've read in years. All in all, this was heads and tails as good as Grace's first run on the character. Seriously, if he could write X-Men forever, I'd be a very happy man. Uncanny X-Men #9: It's basically a big fight scene and very much a transitioning one at that. It's okay though there's a moment in the middle of the issue that I marked out at. Young Justice #1: It's Bendis being Bendis but damn if this wasn't fun! Batman#62: It's still got a couple of issues before it goes off the pull list. It's gonna take a lot to keep it on the pull list at this point though. Die #2: As much as I've loved everything Kieron Gillen's has done up to this point, this have very real potential to become my new favorite. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1: I was a big fan of Tom Taylor's X-Men Red so I figured I would follow him along here. It was actually kind of nice to have a Spider-Man book that mostly had Peter. Then it got to the back-up... Single Issues: 9
  21. Haven't bought my pass yet but I'm 90% sure I'm going this year.
  22. I wonder what prompted that?😁
  23. Kinda late notice but... Was anyone thinking of going to C2E2 this year?
