  1. For the longest time, Black Adam was but as of last year, he isn't. Dwayne Johnson is apparently still slated for the part though in a future film. Instead, it's apparently Mark Strong as Dr. Sivana.
  2. I marked when Mothra appeared. If they can include Mothra's little girls in there, then I'll be over the moon.
  3. Season 2 is slow to start but once it starts paying off... holy crap.
  4. Johnny Depp beat his ex-wife. Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is still in preproduction. Beating your wife is apparently a lesser offense than making some distasteful tweets.
  5. Okay, after taking some time to think about it, Disney needs to rethink their double standards here. Someone made Tweets years ago that he's apologized for already that they've fired for while one of the studio's big franchises stars a wife-beater and he doesn't get fired? Yeah, no. Once again, Disney is entitled to do what they want with their money but they need to apply that same discretion equally instead of a knee jerk reaction. You know what? I hope they get Rian Johnson to replace him.
  6. I'm of two minds on this. On one hand, yeah, they were shitty tweets and they're highly inexcusable. On the other, people grow and it's shitty considering the tweets have popped up before and this time it was deliberately resurfaced by a group that wanted to punish Gunn for being Anti-Trump. Still, Disney is entitled to do what they want. The film will probably have to get pushed back as a result.
  7. Clone Wars is coming back for 12 episodes on Disney's streaming service.
  8. Comcast has dropped their bid for 20th Century meaning Disney is the only buyer.
  9. The DC Universe Streaming service is going to run 7.99 monthly or 74.99 annually.
  10. The CW is developing a Batwoman TV Series.
  11. The entire DCEU is weird right now. I think they're throwing stuff at the wall until they see what sticks.

    G. Willow Wilson is taking over writing on Wonder Woman starting in November. As a note, she is explicitly not leaving Marvel.
  13. Dijmon Hounsou is playing The Wizard in Shazam.
  14. Desperado or From Dusk to Dawn were her breakout roles, Frida or Lonely Hearts for the middle of her career, and probably Beatriz at Dinner for a more recent film.
  15. In all my years of reading X-Men, I've always been used to there being one good book with one bad book (Case in point: New X-Men by Grant Morrison was great when you had Uncanny X-Men by Chuck Austin which gave us The Draco). I'm not sure what to do when the three main books are consistently awesome outside of being excited.
  16. The Lego Ninjago Movie: While it leans more heavily into the "We're Legos" theme than The Lego Batman Movie did, this one is definitely more there to sell toys. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: Wow, the Chris Columbus movies are... things. Look, I get it, they're kid's movies and that's part of the problem. The later films play to a greater audience. This... is just alright. IT: I've taken my time getting around to watching this one. The child actors are fairly decent and Bill Skarsgard puts in a performance that definitely stands apart from Tim Curry's Pennywise. Still not sure how I feel about Part 2 but then, the adult portion has always been weaker than the child portion of IT, going all the way back to the books. Space Mutiny: Because is there a better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with Reb Brown? Films: 50 Repeats: 2 MST3k/Rifftrax Assisted: 2 Made For TV: 1 Documentaries: 1 Straight to DVD: 1
