I finally got around to watching Season 7 of Once Upon a Time and, okay, yeah, it is a major mess with some new characters I don't care about, some plotlines that were obviously being written as they went with no plan and, yet, it remembered something big: Rumple and Regina are the most interesting characters and this has always been their story. Both characters get the right ending for what they've worked for and that's something I'm grateful for. As a series, Once Upon a Time was some I appreciated for being an occasional trainwreck, occasional laughable soap opera, but also kind of knowing what it was: Official Disney Fanfiction and that's why it's something that I'll always have kind of fond memories of.

I'm not necessarily saying that Stephanie Beatriz should crossover to being an action heroine but for anyone who has ever watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Imagine Rosa as The Crow.

The end of Shaun of the Dead kind of deals with post-outbreak.

Neither has aged the best. I'm going to give it to American Psycho but only by the slimmest of margins.

Oh yeah, I never responded to this. Yeah, sounds good.

Hulu passed and now it's at Netflix.

Solo: It's a fun movie. Not bad but definitely a "Background noise" movie. Mean Girls: One of my best mates hadn't seen it and didn't realize all the memes that came from this brilliant film. Films: 39 Made For TV: 1 Straight to DVD: 1

The Venture Brothers is coming back this summer.

Fox is picking up Smackdown starting in October 2019.

Deadpool 2: It's not as good as Deadpool 1 but it's still a fun movie. Regular Show: The Movie: Regular Show is that show I didn't appreciate on Cartoon Network when it was originally airing that I love now. The movie is basically an extended episode. Films: 37 Made For TV: 1 Straight to DVD: 1

Amazon is in talks to pick it up for a Season 4.

In hindsight, Marvel might have been better served to have run Avengers 4 as their 3rd movie of the year it came out, I know they wanted that critical First Movie of the Summer position but for promotion, it's kinda sucky for Homecoming 2. Gotta guess they're gonna angle for that all-important post credit sequence. As part of my gradual softening on this movie, I'm trying to look at the deaths in the context of the film instead of the universe (even if the movie itself doesn't stand on it's own). Why Peter's works so well for me is three fold: 1) His takes longer because of both Spider-sense and his healing factor. Hence more time for overdramatics. 2) The actors really sell the scene. It's hinging on Overdramatic but never quite hits that point. 3) With the Iron Man 2 retcon (That Peter was the kid at the Stark Expo), it's kind of full circle. First thing Stark ever says to him is, "Nice Work, Kid." His last words are apologizing for failing Stark.

I've enjoyed Tom Welling in it but yeah, no, it had seen better days.

Summing up the big stuff from the last two days... All of the networks have canceled a ton of shows including Brooklyn 99, Inhumans, and Lucifer. Around 20 in all so far. The CW has picked up five new series including reboots of Roswell and *sigh* Charmed. Not among those is the Supernatural Spin-off Wayward Sisters making them 0-2 on spin off attempts. ABC has also picked up a few shows including Nathan Fillion in a police procedural. NBC has picked up Brooklyn 99 for a 13 episode season 6.

Oh, trust me. It gets better. Fox picked up Last Man Standing after ABC canceled it two or three shows. You know, the Tim Allen sitcom that was the very definition of, "Sure, nothing's on and I'm too lazy to find something on Netflix."

Or, and hear me out here, it takes place at the same as The Nightmare Before Christmas. But seriously, it looks fun. I might have to check it out.
