  1. I've heard a ton of names on Twitter the last day. It feels like most of them just googled "Crazy Rich Asians" and pulled names from the list. I'm personally pulling for Phillip Ng. He's American born but he has Hong Kong cinema cred and he can do a fight scene brilliantly. Only downside is he's in his 40s but ehh? Other than that, just out there and I doubt he'll ever get the role but, Ludi Lin who played Zach in the 2017 Power Rangers movie would be a fun choice.
  2. Marvel is fast tracking a Shang Chi film.
  3. I randomly dropped it into Dan and I talking about X-Men the animated Series but some of the best voice acting in a children's cartoon ever.
  4. I've been avoiding this one mainly because I can see one of two outcomes: 1) No one who dies is actually dead or 2) Someone retcons it within a couple of years. I've been keeping with King's Batman run but it's starting to grate on me also to the point where I'm likely going to if it doesn't turn around within a couple of months. It's sad because I was mostly digging it up until #50.
  5. Sony is already planning both a sequel and a spin-off featuring the female Spider Heroes. So, probably Gwen Stacy and Peni Parker BUT considering that Lily Tomlin is vicing Aunt May in this film, I am so there for an appearance by Spider Ma'am!
  6. So... someone put Bill Goldberg as Santa in a Dodge commercial.
  7. I more meant that they were relaxing, heh. Some of the stuff they added back in did little, often just making part of the film repetitive. That said, Deathly Hollows Part 1 adds back in a scene between Harry and Aunt Petunia that definitely does humanize her that's nice.
  8. Harry Potter (All of Them): SyFy was marathoning them during Thanksgiving. It only seemed natural to watch while my stomach was settling. Also, was not expecting to see the extended editions on tv. Ocean's 8: Second to Ocean's 11 in the series but still a bloody wonderful heist movie. I want to see this cast do another movie. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them: Because if we're going to watch all the Potter films, might as well watch this as well. My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: Friendship Games: Long title. It's okay, nothing special. Murder on the Orient Express: It's a great mystery, a great cast, and I was kept guessing. Figured out the solution before the reveal but still good. Scooby Doo: Wrestlemania Mystery: Still weird but fun. Films: 98 Repeats: 7 MST3k/Rifftrax Assisted: 3 Made For TV: 3 Documentaries: 1 Straight to DVD: 7
  9. If you are new to Hulu or haven't been a paying customer in the last 12 months (or just want to set up a new account on spam e-mail account), it's currently 12 bucks for a year for the Limited Commercial plan.
  10. Just got a PS4. dc20willsave if you want to add me for some reason.
  11. If you have Amazon Prime, you can the movie a week early.

    Randomness

Yeah... Chris Pratt pretty quickly went from the second best of the Hollywood Chrises to the worst in the span of just a couple of years.
  13. Destroy All Monsters: You'd think a movie where aliens mind-control Kaiju to attack the great cities of the world would be more interesting but you haven't had to spend time watching scientist bicker in a space-ship instead of watching Godzilla knockover The Statue of Liberty. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle: Fun but it lays of the entire, "We're in a video game" stuff a little too thick. Also, wasn't sure if I should be offended by the Jack Black stuff or not... Fantastic Four: This is the 2000s one. There's stuff to like (Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis) but most of it is pretty meh. The CGI on Mr. Fantastic was dated in 2005. Films: 89 Repeats: 5 MST3k/Rifftrax Assisted: 3 Made For TV: 3 Documentaries: 1 Straight to DVD: 5
  14. Someone will have better things to say about Stan Lee than me. Gonna leave this here.
  15. I've been playing Hollow Knight. I love Metroidvanias and this might be one of the best I've played in recent years. Mind you, I've also done my usual problem of accidentally walking into every single place on the map before I do anything of consequence.
  16. Yep. It came out a year too early to be able to ride off of Scream's success. It's pretty dumb.
  17. Coco: Shut up! You're crying! Spider-Man Homecoming: Fun Spider-Man movie. I'm mainly here for Zendaya, Michael Keaton, and Marisa Tomei. A Wrinkle in Time: Storywise, I was pretty meh. From a visual storytelling approach though? Wow! I don't care what the next thing that Ava DuVernay does, I am all over it! Soapdish: Fun movie with a great cast. Too bad the ending is kind of antiquated, namely how the villain gets their comeuppance. Films: 86 Repeats: 5 MST3k/Rifftrax Assisted: 3 Made For TV: 3 Documentaries: 1 Straight to DVD: 5
  18. Short notice but you could try to squeeze in Man of Steel as either the Mike's Birthday episode or at the end of the Advent Calendar this year. I'd be happy to help out where ever you need someone to step in.
  19. Marvel is planning a Falcon/Winter Soldier series for the Disney streaming service.
