Missy
Thanks to a murderous defeat and a lack of save points, I now have to repeat nearly an hour of gameplay near the end of Final Fantasy V Advance! What's your worst "AGH! I have to do all that again?" gaming moments?
Kscriv
Losing my last life of my last continue on the original Sonic right at Final Zone

RedRight88
This story isn't really about me but, My father was playing Zelda 2: the Advenutres of Link and just when he got to the final level (after years of playing, I might add), our Nintendo broke. drqshadow
I donated about forty hours to Morrowind, then killed someone I shouldn't have and saved. Nothing to do but start over. No thanks.
Stavros
Usually when World of Warcraft crashes when I'm in the middle of fighting a bunch of bad guys. That "ah, I have to do that all again" feeling comes from having to restart my PC, restart the game, sign in, select character, etc, and by the time I'm back he's dead and needs recharged armour anyway. TheRetreater
If I found it unenjoyable enough that having to do it again would make me go AGH!, I'd stop playing it before it reached the point of yelling. That being said, WoW comes the closest when you and your party does the work through something then someone else dickishly steals the goal. That is more an AGH! at jerks, though. It isn't so much "AGH! I don't want to trudge through all that again" as it is "AGH! All that time and hard work... lost... forever!" Pablo Molinero
Just had one today playing Sunset Riders, losing my last life on my last continue on the final boss. Almost chucked my laptop out of the window. Damn you, Richard Rose~!
TheRetreater
I just thought of one from my childhood. Getting ready to fight the final boss in Mega Man 2 before stopping to save it for later. But when I return to play, none of the passwords take you beyond the 8 robot master stages being cleared. Curse you, Wily!
James D.
Defeating an insanely hard boss, subsequently watching one of those long cutscenes that Xenosaga I is renowned for, and then recoiling in horror as my brother knocks my multijack out of the wall outlet with a vaccuum cleaner. Pablo Molinero
Oh, I just remembered a real good one. When we got a Gamecube, we got an off-brand mem card (big no-no, btw actually) and after having it for about 4-5 months, the whole thing just entirely exploded (corrupte, whatever). Lost all our SCII and SSBM data, which had everything unlocked, so we had to start from the beginning again.

Madcatz has always treated me well, but similarly I had a little cousin want to save his game (like a half hour of play) and did so by erasing a couple "years" of work in Harvest Moon
