dc20willsave
Shhh, I haven't watched it yet! Ditto. Keep it in spoilers, please.
Stavros
Echo previous thoughts. Mind you I started worrying that it wasn't going to be all it could be when McDuffie was credited as lead writer. Worth watching though, interesting to see what Mike thinks of it. Missy
I got a screener of it in early January, and I thought it was okay. A bit of a letdown, really. As stated, the action is wild, but the story is thin, I never cared for either reality, and some of the voices were off. James Woods as Owlman, though? Awesome! And I cannot wait to see the backlash to the ending. Which we won't spoil here!
KnightWing
And I cannot wait to see the backlash to the ending. Which we won't spoil here! Actually, a friend pointed something out to me about the ending that completely reversed the complaints I had about it. It was very subtle. But fine; I shall hold my tongue. dc20willsave
Vertigo - Holy fucking shit. Yeah, that's the reaction I had when I first saw it. I love Hitchcock but I can't stand Vertigo. I know it's supposed to be one of his best films but I still can't sit through it without wanting to hit my head. Stavros
Just finished Avater: The Last Airbender. Really good show, started slow but really kicked into a higher gear in the last couple of series. They were just laying the groundwork. I was uneasy with the very final scene (it should have been more complicated and less icky) but aside from that this show rocked.

Aaron Robinson
Well the stunts aren’t as impressive, but there’s a lot more fighting and violence, so I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. The plot is a big improvement over the first, considering that it’s actually coherent (if you ignore the fact that this is somehow supposed to be tied to the original, even though it’s set centuries beforehand). It feels like a bit of an attempt to ape the epic Chinese war films at times, with all the melodrama that goes on. I mean, I liked it. Just be prepared for something different to the first movie. Guest
It's a weird one. Wasn't expecting all of the blood and whatnot. Also, there's obvious CG in this one, unlike Jaa's previous movies.
dc20willsave
Watching the RiffTrax for Twilight. It's made the movie tolerable and interesting. Guess I won't need those razors after all.

Guest
There was a Channel 4 movie made about a decade ago based on Through the Looking Glass, with Kate Beckinsale as Alice. I'd been looking for it on DVD for years, and today, we finally got it in.

It was in between Shooting Fish and Brokedown Palace, the year in which she realized just how dreadful that short lesbian haircut was and grew it out. My stalker fandom started there.
