Be happy you've never had to encounter the more in-bred people of the deep south. If you've ever wanted to hear someone strangle a language until it screams to be just be put down, go to any Hicksville and try, just try not to have to plug your ears. The town I grew up in, everyone pronounced the town name, Greenwich, "Green"-"Witch".
  2. Please tell me you want to eat the honey and not the woman. For starters, she looks like a super-model and she's just going to be stringy and tough.

Okay, that makes more sense then someone just having a random condom in their pocket to throw at people. So many differences between two cultures uses of the same basic language.
  4. And that is officially the most fucked up looking Scarecrow I have ever seen.
  5. Well then, I'm a little hot and bothered now.
  6. Well, the popular theory is that Dora is actually a drug mule and the balloon burst so everything she's seeing is a hallucination as a result of an overdose. If you'll notice, she always seems to be crossing rivers and tunnels.

Now, sorry if I suddenly look like an idiot for asking this but when you say rubber, do you mean a rubber band or a condom?
  8. I think the reason Torchwood got better between season one and two is that it changed networks and couldn't get away with as much. I've found if I get a paper with no real guidelines and one with guidelines, the one with is the one I'm going to do better on because I know how many pages to shoot for, have a possible topic, and there's less of a chance of veering completely off-topic. That and we've become introduced to the characters so we already know where they're coming from. There are a few hiccup episodes but it's the same truth as Doctor Who or Sarah Jane.
  9. I can see the first episode already, "We get it. You're a goddamn map! Stop fucking singing about it!"
  10. Happy birthday. May the next 70 be as awesome as the first 30.
  11. New trailer for "The Waters of Mars." If you're in the UK, it's also up on the BBC Website. Also, slightly crappy quality version of the trailer for the final two specials from Comic-Con. It has spoilers so don't click if you want to be surprised.
  12. Finished Season One of Lost. Wow. Just wow. I have nothing else to say.
  13. Michael David Sims: He loves the bisexual three ways. As for Torchwood, the show does get steadily better. The second season is good. Third is brilliant.
  14. Gates isn't half bad from the couple of things I've read. The Superman Prime single wasn't too bad and I really dug the Prometheus one shot. I've heard good things about Supergirl recently as well. I might not drop The Flash like I was planning.
  15. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is good from the first two chapters I read in the bookstore. I've been saving the rest for when I take the trip. Having read it for 19th Century British Lit, it blends the original pretty well with the new material. There are a few times where it seems like they shoehorned in the new but you get over it by the end of the first chapter.

    Galactus is Coming!
  17. So, I'm heading out to Montana on the Eighth to visit the family for about two weeks. Between the train ride and the entirety of the visit, I'll pretty much just have my iPod and whatever books I have in ways of entertainment since my mom doesn't have cable or an antennae and there's no internet. That said, looking for suggestions for books to read. Here's what I got so far in addition to all of the Batman Movie Earth-2 podcasts so far: Books 2-5 of The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Small Gods by Terry Prachett Stardust by Neil Gaiman The Mysteries of Pittsburgh by Michael Chabon Casino Royale by Ian Fleming A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess The Sandman Book of Dreams edited by Neil Gaiman and Ed Kramer Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay BTW, I read a lot so trust me, this probably won't be enough. I can do about 300 pages in as little as a day, depending on how I go.
  18. I'll second that. Gaiman could have self-inserted himself into American Gods and I would have believed it.
  19. How? How could they think that was Stewie? The youth of today shocks me.

Let's all go to the lobby...
  21. A happy, happy birthday to you, yes you.
  22. As long as it wasn't part of a fetish, not as screwed up as you'd think.
  23. Ign has the full lowdown on the Futurama panel as well an interview with John DiMaggio. After cooling down, I think I'm going to settle for signing petitions and then, when there's an announcement, then I'll be reenacting the first half hour of Saving Private Ryan.
