Molly
That's not new costume, that's artistic license. I'm sure I've seen it drawn like that before.
Stavros
Boo. That Batman symbol is so 1980's. I much prefer the modern one, felt classic but practical, suitable for all types of stories.

prez
Looks kind of "Dark Knight Returns" to me.
Molly
That really looks like the costume Gary Frank put together for Batman: Earth One. Like, a lot. If I were Frank, I might be miffed.
SuaveStar
Apart from the belt, I see the similarities as well now.

Koete
Really don't see the similarities between the two costumes. Love the Superman/Batman #75 cover except for the yellow rectangle at the bottom (what's the deal with that?).

Koete
I didn't see it so much compared to Yanick Paquette's Batman, but compared with how Finch drew him, yes I can see the similarity.
SuaveStar
Even kids comics get renumbered. Batman: Brave and the Bold restarts in November.
TDK_theBatmaN
Speaking of Earth-1, has there been any word as to when Batman Earth-1 is to be released? Also, looking forward to Synder and Jock on Detective Comics
Stavros
Analysis of Kevin Smith's The Widening Gyre Don't read this if you don't want Smith to retcon Year One in a way that completely fucking ruins one of that books best moments. I'm so glad I didn't buy this. Smith's last run on a Batman mini was enough to make me think he's completely forgotten how to write comics in ANY way. The drop-off in his writing skills is significantly greater than Jeph Loeb's even.
Molly
Everyone needs to know the origins of Widening Gyre. After "Zack And Miri Make a Porno" under-preformed at the box office, Smith got really depressed, and started smoking inhuman amounts of weed. After getting ridiculously blazed, he'd work on Widening Gyre. Does that make it a good comic? Fuck no. But I'm interested to see the trainwreck he trots out after "Cop-Out." Dread
I've been over here shouting that he's sucked for about ten years. I am not surprised by this in any way.

But, Zach and Miri was average, and slightly generic. It had Seth Rogen, playing Seth Rogen, which by that point, had gotten annoying. I don't think WG sold well anyway. SuaveStar
Preview of Batman #702 I thought Bruce said the thing about the New Gods in FC, and Superman said the same dumb line?
SuaveStar
Dustin Nguyern moves to Batgirl. Seeing as Paul Dini has been coming and going on SOG, I'm guessing after Heart Of Hush that book will be cancelled.

prez
Ok, so I took a shot on the first two issues of Neal Adams' "Batman Odyssey"? Yeah, that was a mistake. What a flaming piece of shit.
Koete
From what I've seen of it, Neal Adams has no clue how to write Batman.
SuaveStar
Batman November solicitations. There is way too many Bat-Books. I'm getting Red Robin, and that's it.

SuaveStar
Did anyone else pick up Batman #702? I got it, and it didn't really add anything to RIP or Final Crisis that I didn't already know, it basically just set up reading the end of ROBW and his B&R run. It looked good for the most part, but Tony Daniel's his JLA looks just weird.
