Tomorrow, July 3, is the third annual Free Comic Book Day. It doesn't matter if you're new to comics, grown out of them, never read one in your life, or a rabid fanboy -- anyone who walks into a comic shop can walk out with free comic books. (7-Elevens and corner stores don't participate. It has to be a comic book shop.)
And though comic books aren't just for children, they're a great way to promote literacy in children. So, at the very least, it's worth it to grab some and pass them along to your children, nieces/nephews, younger siblings, or friends of the family.
Click here, here, and here to see what comics will be given out and which companies will be involved. (Quantities and availability will vary. Some shops will also offer one-day sales.)
