  1. It'll just be a teaser, something with the title, lots of shadows, and the Batmobile. Hopefully we'll get a shot of Christian Bale in costume, too. <----- 1000
  2. Okay, this didn't happen. Speculators are now, well, speculating that the Batman Begins teaser will run with Fox's other summer action film: Alien v Predator, which opens August 13.
  3. Please forgive the stupid question, but I haven't been watching: Will this episode introduce these characters, or have they been previously introduced?
  4. A letter from Wolverine to Superman: (source: eonline.com) 01. It would have been funnier if it was written in Wolverine's voice, such as this letter by the Hulk. 02. Kal-Hell?
  5. CartoonNetwork.com says that the July 31st episode ("Initiation") will air at 8:30/7:30 Central.
  6. Not sure if Sony Pictures can use Morbius, because he was supposed to be in the first Blade film -- so New Line Cinema might still own the rights. It wasn't so much that his love life was in disarray, but that he subconsciously didn't want to be Spider-Man anymore because it was ruining his life. As for his organic webs, I too didn't like the idea at first but it actually makes more sense. Don't get me wrong, I still love the web-shooters in the comic, but, for sake of the movie, I think organic webbing works better.
  7. In an effort to reboot this thread, here's a fresh question: What literary works are housed in the Library of Sandman's Dream?
  8. FYI: In just 19 days, Spider-Man 2 has earned $502 million worldwide. All but $200 million of that spawns from North American theaters.
  9. To follow up on my last post, Variety.com is reporting that Bryan Singer will indeed direct the next Superman film and speculates that his tenure with the X-Men is over.
  10. Holy shit! I just saw this film for the first time, and it creeped the Hell out of me. I'm gonna go hide under the covers now. One more thing, am I the only to think that the black market TV salesman is the inspiration for The Comic Book Guy? He has the exact look and attitude. How sick would that be...?
  11. HUGE FUCKING NEWS! With McG having been booted from the film, word has surfaced that none other than Bryan Singer and his X2 writing team of Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris will take on the fifth Superman film, tentatively titled Superman Returns. (This means that the previous script, penned by J.J. Abrams is in the trash.) But what does this mean for Singer's remake of Logan's Run and X-Men 3? Warner Bros. has confirmed that Singer will follow Superman Returns with Logan's Run. As for his commitments with Fox and X-Men 3, no one seems to know what's going on. Will Fox delay X3 for Singer (unlikely), will they move along without him (doubt it), or will it be filmed before the next Superman film (best bet)? We'll just have to wait and see.
  12. Normally I would link to something this long, but you have to be a subscriber to NYTimes.com to read it. So here you go: (source: NYTimes.com)
  13. Was that the fighting game done in claymation?
  14. Where's the "Sonic sucks and Mario rules" option? Kidding! Null vote.
  15. There is such an idea floating around. Much like AOL/Time Warner was looking for an excuse to sell WCW (and boy did they get it), some tend to believe that they no longer want DC Comics and the only reason they keep the company around is for movie, TV, and cartoon deals.

    Marvel Sues Disney

This part is pure money grubbing bullshit. Normally I would agree, however we don't know the terms of the contract. It's quite possible that the original agreement specifically stated that Fox Family Worldwide (and later Disney) had to do their share to help market the related movies upon release.
  17. Fixed. I'm starting to seriously think Warner Bros. wants to kill the comic book/superhero genre. With Catwoman and Constantine forthcoming, the rumors of Jack Black as GL, McG even being considered to direct Superman, and Superman III & IV and Batman III & IV already under their belts, their résumé is quite ugly.
  18. Reports are coming in stating that Jack Black has signed to play Green Lantern in a comedy version of the DC property (a la The Mask). Word is that DC tried to kill the project, but parent company Warner Bros. loves it. And, due to the way that company is structured, DC had little to no say. If this is true, it shouldn't come as a huge surprise, because Warner Bros. nearly went ahead with a similar GL project years ago staring Eddie Murphy.
  19. I'm actually going to give this one to Storm Shadow. He'll remain cool, calm and collected, whereas Snake Eyes will fly off the handle and make a mistake leading to his death.
  20. Thank you. Guess you're gonna have to start triple checking your posts from now on. I guess so.
  21. I'm all over that. Hot? Yes. Stupid? Yes.
  22. She probably misspelled lounge on her application form. I have it on good authority that she misspelled her own name.
