  1. I desperately need that Judge Death figure
  2. A Talking Pony: See Will's comments. Films Watched: 22
  3. Terminator 2: This movie is, above everything else, gorgeous. The effects work in this movie have still stood up for me, especially the T-1000 bits. As for everything else, what is there to say? This is one of the best movies ever, and certainly one of the best sequels ever made. Films watched: 21
  4. The Book of Life: Ultimately, this is an animated film for children. That said, it was actually really cool. It did have the plus of having Ron Perlman voicing a major character, which always automatically makes anything just that much better in my book. Films watched: 20
  5. I'm nowhere near a Star Trek fan, but I will miss Nemoy. He was a gentleman and a scholar.
  6. Whiplash: Holy fucking shit, this movie is good. To call this movie amazing would be a massive understatement, and an insult to a lot of talented people. I literally can't recommend this movie highly enough. Films watched: 19
  7. Watchmen: I know, I know. It's Watchmen. That said, I loved this movie, even with all the changes. It was entertaining, and engaging. And that's really all I'll say on the matter. Films watched: 18
  8. Dead Man: This movie is one hell of an underrated piece of cinema. Everything from the soundtrack to the acting to the cinematography is on fine form, and it's a really big shame that this movie isn't a lot more popular. Films watched: 17
  9. Yeah, I've got no followup to that. The jokes really do write themselves.
  10. O Brother, Where Art Thou: I kinda have a weakness for Cohen Brothers movies. I also have a bit of a weakness for ancient Greek and Roman myths. And naturally, when you throw them together, I'm gonna go towards that thing like a moth to light. And this movie did not disappoint me at all, not the first time I saw it, or this time. Even after all these years, I still love this movie. The soundtrack doesn't hurt it, either. In fact, the soundtrack's one of the reasons I love it so much. Films watched: 16

    Randomness

    Holy shit, that's amazing
  12. A Long Way Down: Ultimately, not the greatest film in the world, really. I really don't have that much to say about it beyond 'eh'. Films watched: 15
  13. Fargo: Damn, it's been a while since I've seen this movie. My thoughts on it are that: its really damn good, but there's one little niggle that brings it down just a little bit. Other than that, though, it is outstanding. Films watched: 14
  14. Friday the 13th (1980): It's sort of a tradition that I have that, come every Friday the 13th, I sit down and watch the original version. While, yes, it has set up a lot of stock cliches and tropes of the slasher genre, it's still a pretty entertaining flick. I may be more of a Freddy fan, but this movie does have a special place in my heart. Films watched: 13
  15. Gone Girl: Holy shit. Holy shit, this was good. Like, really damn good. David Fincher managed to knock everything out of the ballpark with this movie, because goddamn. I can't recommend this movie highly enough. Seriously, go watch it. Films watched: 12
  16. That is all very true. I just hold the original in a special place in my heart, for a kinda weird reason. But yeah, I just really hope that these idiots don't go Rob Zombie on it, too.
  17. I'm pretty sure it was James that brought up the whole 'Barbara's enamored with Dick' thing, although I haven't listened to WFP in years, so don't quote me on that.
  18. The Town: Pretty entertaining heist film starring Ben Affleck before Argo and Jeremy Renner before The Avengers. Based on the novel of the same name, The Town is a very Boston film. It does really help that a lot of it was actually shot in and around Boston. All in all, it was a very good film, and Ben Affleck is a really great actor. Films watched, 11
