One of the bigger bookstores in my country just started selling Doctor Who books and I am really happy. Picked up the 50th anniversary compilation of short stories, which is pretty massive. I can probably kill vagrants with this.

Just got season 7(one of my favorites) and Dalek Invasion of Earth. (which I haven't seen before)

No mention of the last time Brolin played a comic book character, good.

Orphan Black - The series has been slowing down a bit but it's still good. I love Helena so much. Penny Dreadful - Just watched the first episode and it was pretty intriguing. I love the cast, and airing it now, when every insect is back from hell is appropriate.

So, Mark Waid loved the pilot. Not only is the #Flash pilot EXCELLENT, but (for this) the dead-mom retcon doesn't grate. Continuity was never very high on my list of concerns when it comes to anything really, so none of those really bothered me. I really enjoyed the movie, the acting as always was strong, there was a lot of cleverness with powers, and there was GASP a bit of fun, in the form of Quicksilver. He was the real surprise of the movie. I'm so happy that he's in the follow-up. The next movie has the First Class cast, with Jackman.

I'm pretty sure they're keeping the Mark Hamill cameo from the book so this movie has my support already.

It feels like the Dodsons are channeling Lemire or Tradd Moore. Not working too well.

Disagree on two things with you guys. First is Osgood. I love her because she's the fangirl represented in the show. It's been mentioned on the podcast that the fangirls are a huge part of the new show's success, and paying tribute to them in the form of a character was really cool. As for the line "The Doctor will save me" I didn't have a problem with that because it was a very human moment of weakness, and just after that she gets over her fear and causes the Zygon to fall over. Also, the point about Smith being like Colin Baker and McCoy. As far as iconic episodes, 11 had Eleventh Hour, Vincent and the Doctor, the Big Bang two-parter, and the Doctor's Wife. Is that really any less than what 9 and 10 had? But yeah great episode guys! Love that the tangent about Winter Soldier was called back to during the review segment. Very Day of the Doctor as far as something innocuous turning into an important plot point.

I'm conflicted. While I agree that 7 doesn't reach the heights other seasons have, I don't think it's as bland as it's been said. Cold War,Hide and The Crimson Horror are really good. I think The Power of Three(I do agree that it is very flawed though) The Bells of St John and Rings of Akhaten are fun too. My views could change with a rewatch however, as this season was the first time I started watching week by week.

Great show guys! I was never really interested in Star Trek, but I recently saw the first Abrams movie and it got me intrigued enough to want to check out what's come before. This podcast is as good a prompt as any I suppose.

I believe the appropriate response is Damn.

Sigh. Okay then. I guess, without the Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler or any of them, this show wasn't fated to last all that long. Damn it.

And he's said on Twitter that he's been reading the Buccellato-Manapul Flash run. I haven't seen his appearance on Arrow yet but I am soooo jazzed.

Considering what they've been able to do on Hannibal though, I don't think there'll be a problem as far as content. Now if they'll only read the right material, i.e. the classic Hellblazer and not the New 52 Constantine.

So far it seems that Electro and the Goblin are the main villains, with Rhino as a minor bad guy. Alistair Smythe is in it, but it's unknown to what capacity. Norman Osborn will likely be controlling things behind the scenes.
