  1. Hmm. Pretty far from my ideal team right there. But hey, my favourite X-men team of recent years was the one lead by Rogue and made up mostly of villains.

I'm guessing Colossus lost his powers somehow and made a deal with Cyttorak who took the powers from Juggernaut post-Fear Itself.

In the last Fear Itself X-Men tie-in, Cytorrak - whose dimension they went to to try and stop Juggy - was pissed that Marko was causing havoc in another god's name, so he chose a new avatar on Earth. Pete pushed Magik away and accepted the gem. The issue ended with him in the helmet, acting as though the gem changed him, mentally. Which makes no sense at all, really, since it never changed Marko's mental state.

With Kitty watching and crying the whole time. Why do the X-Men writers hate Kitty Pryde being happy?

  2. Honestly, the other possibility. Booster, through some fluke, was able to pass effectively between the Old DCU and Flashpoint worlds. It's concievable that the same thing happens here with Booster being an anomoly, a person that shouldn't exist in the new reality. If anything, it means Booster is the only one who will be able to fix reality in a year or two.

While that would be awesome, I think it's just wishful thinking. I think we're stuck with the DCnU, like it or not.

  3. I wanted to hate this as soon as I saw the thread title. And I did, until I got to this:

Anyway, the kicker is that Milla Jovovich, Kate Beckinsale and Sofia Vergara are attached to star.

I don't remember what I was saying, because my erection punched me in the face.

  4. Serious question, Knightwing, and I say this as a die hard DC fan boy: How much is DC paying you, and where can I sign up?

Honestly, I've been wanting to ask him this same question for months. I'm glad you asked. People like you more.

  5. Dubs has basically good suggestions there, but if I can offer some commentary on a few:

First game anyone should get for a 360 is Oblivion. It's the ultimate time killer and will hold you over until new stuff comes along.

Definitely. I've explored so much, I haven't even finished the game yet. (I only got it last year and have hundreds of hours in. Not easy with two kids)

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - should be cheap now.

Good game. But don't - FREAKING DON'T - get No. 2 by accident. Giving someone MUA 2 is a war crime in most countries.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World - again, seems up your alley.

Fair warning: My copy, awesome as it was, crashed on me constantly. I still can't play the whole game, but I can't bring myself to delete it.

Rez HD - you may find it too weird.

    You probably will.

  6. For real? Really??

Goddamnit they'd better keep Journey Into Mystery going.

I think they are, with Thor going to hell being the main story for that book.

Because Marvel has never had a story with a character fighting through Hell before. Except Wolverine JUST THIS YEAR.

  7. I liked the brightness of it because, yes, it was certainly a shift from the Matt Murdock we're used to.

But it's a bit jarring, isn't it? This guy just took over part of New York and tried to kill a bunch of his friends. Now he's Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky? And he's just ignoring the fact that everyone knows he's a superhero? Particularly with the excuse "Ah, people forget stuff," that's just lazy writing.

  8. Is that gun, like, the Ultimate Nullifier or something? Because I don't care who is holding the gun, you've got four guys there who would have no qualms killing if it was necessary. I mean, if that's Osborne, he's about two seconds away from being very fully deaded.
