  1. I don't care what anyone says, I'd love to see a ghostbusters with Vince Vaughn Owen Wilson Will Ferrel That said, the first one is easily in my favourite 5 movies of all time and I quote it on at least a weekly basis. "where do these stairs go? They go up". "yes it's true, this man has no dick". Just Gold. So I guess I'm 50/50 on this, surely it can't hurt that is Ramis and Ackroyd doing it?
  2. look's cool, but I'm a fan of a big cape.
  3. Yeah, I agree, sounds a bit busy, but let's trust the master!
  4. I love that read, and I actually remember Kevin Smith being on Leno (I think) and talking about it. The 'who is this Kal-El guy' comment is my favourite. Gotta love the money men in Hollywood. On a side note, Marvel is owned by a toy maker, and none of their recent movies are obvious merchandise vehicles... nice to see Arvi Arad respects both businesses seperately.

    PS3 news

Great move by Sony releasing the launch date and price so early. Allows people to save up if they want one on the first day. I actually like the fact that it looks like the PS2 (both system and controller), you know what they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. As for the motion (4D) controller, I doubt I would use it, I'm the sort of gamer that moves to much in excitement/frustration, so I may crash my car, fall down a cliff, etc. Fletch, just because something was released 7 years ago (or 20 for the Atari) doesn't mean it was good. I used a mercury steering wheel once and it really wasn't that good.
  6. 80% Hulk (must have been that angered easily bit) 80% Green Lantern
  7. Personally I think he is a bit arrogant about his unique ability to write female characters. People have hailed him as some genius and instead of talking it down, he question why everyone else can't write female characters. He must have missed Aliens, Long Kiss Goodnight, T2, Total Recall, I guess...... Don't get me wrong, I love Buffy as much as the next person, and I thought Season 6 was pretty good, but the Buffy character was not what appealed to me, it was Willow that impressed me more. Also, it was what he was doing on Angel around that time which shows that he doesn't always hit the mark with female characters. Plus, I feel that the actors don't get enough credit for what they do with his stuff, mainly the males though in this regard. Giles, Wesley and Spike all did way more than was ever asked of their character's and honestly the last 2 seasons of Angel I only watching because of the Wesley. PS. Anyone know what Dawn is up to, cause she is smokin!!!

hehehe, damn straight. Sure there will be the paupers who say we were ripped off, but what do they know, they live on a diet of baked beans and 1 week old bread!
  9. That's being very harsh. I would have given him till 2002 really Actually no, you're right I just double checked the season to year ratio and 2000 was about where he started to lose it....

    PS3 news

I know no-one will agree with me here, BUT, why not try something totally different and make the PS3 a limited release. If the analysts a predicting sales of 2-3 million consoles in the first year, half it and only release 1mil in the first year, or even 500k, WORLDWIDE.... Basic economics state that high demand + limited supply = high price. Of course my suggestion is that the limited supply will infact create the high demand, which will in turn support the high price. So they could sell for the $500 (or even $750) because there will be the people that don't want to miss out. Also, if they have a firm release date, they could say 3 months prior, allow people to pre-purchase/reserve them. Plus if they make it backwards compatible, blule-ray and online ready, all out of the box, then that will increas the temptation for people as well. Just an idea...
  11. Did anyone else think her accent in the trailer was just really weird........ God the woman just can not act her way out of a wet paper bag. She was just very lucky to be the only black actress with a movie out the year the Academy decided to make it "token" year..... It irks me that she is known as "academy award winner, Halle Berry". Side Note: That is not meant to be a racist comment, but commentary on how that year was obviously a political ploy to show the world the US is not a racist nation. When you consider every other male nominee against Denzel was playing a mentally handicaped character, which we all know the academy has a huge hard on for. Added to the fact that Denzels performance was average at best and probably doesn't even rate in his top 5 perfomances.
  12. You right about people hyping something, I even thought the word 'work' when reading it (stupid wreslting!). Like I said previously though, as long as they concentrate on Wolverine, Magneto and Jean Grey, they can't fuck it up. The trailer looks like that is what they are doing, so I'm still going to be optimistic.
  13. The Cast Argue Has anyone heard this snippet? Basically Ian McKellen has taken to this movie very personally, with the view that "curing" mutants is the same as some people trying to cure gays. If this rumour is true you can't help but be excited about this movie. The man is an amazing actor on a bad day, so if he is charging his performance in this movie with his own personal history, it is going to be amazing... Hugh Jackson makes a good comment about Rogues conflict with the central issue of the film. Yeah, I guess you could say that I am very excited by this, so much so that some people on this board may need to prepare themselves for some humble pie, after comments they made about Mr Rattner
  14. Thats what I hope, but I wouldn't call it Blade 4, just be honest and call it Nightstalkers.
  15. Absolutely hilarious. Office Space is one of my favourite movies ever and I can't believe they got a scene for the 'paper jam' bit, just great.
  16. This is from Superhero Hype and is someone who is working on the set of 'The Prestige', so take it with a grain of salt. God I hope the original rumour of Liev Schrieber was on the money, he would totally own Dent.
  17. Quoted For Fucking Truth. God that is such a great movie, and so underated.
  18. Yeah gotta admit Usual Suspects was amazing. I guess I've seen it so many times, that I've forgotten how great the twist was. Yoda, I'm with you on both Fight Club and 12 Monkeys, although I doubt many people will agree with you on 12 Monkeys. I have it on DVD and not many people rate it, I just don't think they 'get it'. Probably 2 of my favourite Brad Pitt performances in those 2 movies also.
  19. Wild Things is one of my favourites... I picked The Village just from the previews, just seemed too obvious.
  20. None of those guys really appeal to me, at all!! I also read that John Glover (Lionel Luther) was frontrunner to be Skeletor?
  21. A sequal that goes straight to DVD, sounds great... NOT! How can you do a sequal without the same director and star, and hope to have any continuity at all!?
  22. Are you asking if he is a Mutant just because he is a Marvel character? If he were DC, would you just accept that he is a human with the worlds best hand eye co-ordination??
  23. Eh, I read the entire article this snippet is based on. And it pretty much says that while it COULD happen, it won't. Jobs owns 50.6% of Pixar, so it entirely rest on his shoulders if Disney make an offer. While the idea of bringing his own unique style and vision to Disney may appeal initially, the report hypothesised *sp, that Jobs would not want to be at every board meeting discussing how much to charge for the Mickey Mouse Ride at EuroDisney. My thoughts. He has one of the biggest Ego's in IT and Entertainment, so the thought of running Disney (which could be an option after the sale) could be too big. On the other side, the iPod was a precursor to his ultimate goal, winning the mantle of supreme IT geek from Gates, and with the money iPod and iTunes has made him, along with the new Intel Apple machines, all the pieces are finally in place for him to challenge. He won't sell, he spent a lot of money and time nurturing Pixar in its early years, it's too close to his heart. Plus the same report said he has been talking with other distribution companies, in case the new Disney deal (post Cars) falls through.
